"We bought the G35 coupe new. My wife was the primary driver the whole time we've owned it. It's been a joy to dive. Mechanically we've never had any problems. It's had 3 or 4 minor rear end bumps twice the rear bumper cover had to be replaced. Once the front was backed into by a full size pickup. It took out the front bumper, grill, left head light assembly, and the left fender. All repaired professionally. I replaced all of the splash guards on the bottom of the car. The oil & all filters were changed every 3000 miles. I'm an aircraft mechanic so I'm a little stricked about routine maintenance. If you haven't done your homework let me enlighten you on one item. You can't rotate the tires on the car. They are low profile tires width equates to stiff ride. This is due to the fact that the front tires are narrower than the back. This is a stock design."
"Best car I've ever owned, and I've owned Audi's and Acuras. Just brakes and minor basic repairs in 12 yrs of ownership. Has held it's style beautifully. Very comfortable ride. High end extras were available in this car long before other cars."
"I bought my used 2005 G35 coupe 6-spd in 2014 with all the options including Navigation. This is an excellent luxury sports car for the money. Fits 4 adults comfortably. It drives very smooth with plenty of power and torque. With the 6speed manual you can get between 20-23mpg in the city if you drive it easy like I do, and 25-30mpg in the highway. Pretty good mpg for V6 sports car. I love driving this car, and its the closest vehicle to a Skyline GTR but without the hefty pricetag. Maintenance is expensive though, but it is a luxury car so it is expected. I do all the routine maintenance at the dealership and you are treated very well there.
Some wear items to watch out for are suspension parts, driver leather seat tears at the corner, and the door stop on the coupes tend to wear out. Other owners have reported oil consumption issues, but if you keep up with routine maintenance/oil change, you'll be fine."

"Purchased it 2013, G35 2006 6 speed man. tranny. The mileage was 95500. The car engine used oil already. It means oil has not been changed according to intervall or it has been used low grade oil longer period. I have found out now that that piston rings are wear out. Ok. In the beginning car drove fine, the clutch however has been designed poorly. Uncomfortable for such class car. Even OEM clutch and flywheel that was repl at nissan dealer did gave smell for some time. That is fault of factory design.Ok next was drive shaft that was wear out- 480USD. good price. then i noticed car was picky in fuel grade. I used fuel additives and here my nightmares started. It started to give such a terrible smell for 2 years now that it is arwful. additives destroyed my car spark plugs, 02 sensors 4 and cat converters and I think now even fuel pump and from somewhere still comes fuel smell inside cabin. And also some vibration from engine when it is cold at idle. The car is fast 0-60=5.4s. 1/4 mile 13.6. Some issues with front axle parts also, but it is normal wear, the car has no rust at all.The front part of car could be more solid. In proper condition it is good to drive. Passing in highway is just dream. 6 speed tranny is also good. Fuel consumption in city is 20mpg and highway 30mpg. Pretty good. During nearly 30000 miles I have repaired brakes only once. Not bad.The fuel system issue now is just complete nightmare that is unaxeptable."
Pros: "Will do great on track and pleasant to travel."
Cons: "Poor mileage, weird seat controls."

"Seats are great for holding and comfortable as well. Seat controls are on the right hand seat leadge, left hand for passenger. Nice after you get used to them. Odometer has 3 functions, A for first mileage, B for secondary mileage, and third function for setting a rpm warning, a red flashing light on dash. Very hard to get out of and completely useless. Larger rear wheels/tires are expensive and can't be rotated so you better buy best you can afford with top warranty. Best looking Infinity ever made, and get offers to buy from young hot shoes."
"Ive had my 2004 Infiniti for 3 years now and havent had one major issue since. With 135k on it, she drives beautifully and cant think of any complaints..... Except.. How often I need to change my brake pads and that the MPG sucks if you dont have a budget to fit this type of car. Besides those minor defects, I love my G35x and cant wait to upgrade to a new model!!"
