I own this car - My approximate mileage is 146,000overall rating 9 of 10rating details
Pros: "Comfortable, reliable and stylish"
Cons: "Gas eater"
Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 7
"This is a great vehicle to own. It's reliable and comfortable and great body style. The only thing is it's a gas guzzler, 16 on highway and 12-14 street driving. This is one of the best cars I have owned."

I own this car - My approximate mileage is 66,000overall rating 9 of 10rating details
Pros: "Great hwy car and front seat leg room"
Cons: "Premiun gas, below avg mileage."
Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 9
"Love the feel of the car on the hwy, good road sense, stable, responsive and quiet. V6 has plenty of power. The best front seat leg room of any production car (the V6, not the V8), which is why I bought it in 2008. Need to be careful as rear blind spot to either side is real, look twice before changing lanes. Uses premium gas - boo! And mileage is 15 around town, 20 on the hwy."

"Most reliable car owned. CD player a problem. Dealer replaced 2 times-still an issue. Great ride-fun to drive. carrying capacity is great. Purchased new in 2003 and still going strong. With fluid changes and replacement of the cv boots, it will then go my son."

I own this car - My approximate mileage is 72,000overall rating 8 of 10rating details
Pros: "Reliable, safe, solid, great torque"
Cons: "Poor gas mileage, heated fan air"
Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 3
"I've driven my FX35 for 10 years. It handles well but you must maintain Bridgestone original tires for performance handling. Michelin tires caused it to fishtail on damp roads, something you never experience with the Bridgestone high performance tires. Flaw 1: There is no such thing as a fan with air that comes in from outside. It is automatically heated as it comes through the engine so you will always have hot air coming in. Service dept. admitted it was a design flaw. This means you might need A/C in cold months if it gets too warm in the car. Flaw 2: Gas mileage is far worse than any comparable small SUV. Lexus SUV gets 25-28. I get 16 mpg on a good day. Right now, getting 14.8 with A/C on doing surface street and some freeway driving. That's not good if you drive a lot every day. Otherwise a very good car. As for repairs, the actuators in the 4 doors have to be replaced, described by my dealer as "lazy"--sometimes they work, sometimes they don't. I have 2 doors which sometimes open with my remote or interior door lock switch and sometimes they close or open part way so you have to do it manually. I replaced a sun roof mechanism within warranty once. Practically nothing else in 10 years. So it's for the most part very reliable."
