"Planning to drive about 20 years and put about 250,000 miles on it. VERY reliable!! At about 120,000 miles does NOT use a drop of oil between (2500), oil changes! Will be taking it on a 2,000 miles vacation trip in about a month. There are 2 things I would wish for in this car. A little more power for acceleration (turbo), and a more comfortable front seat. But still planning to keep it until "the wheels fall off"."
Pros: "affordable, good gas mileage, good in snow"
Cons: "not too roomy inside, back seat is small"

"I've had this car for 6 years now, and I have absolutely loved it. It gets good gas mileage, runs well, and it is very good in the snow (especially with snow tires). It's a good looking car, and it is very affordable."
"Bought used 4 years ago 62k miles; now has 125k. Don't drive it in snow; saving it from the PA winters hoping body will stay as new looking as it is! The Tiburon IS an awesome vehicle - low maintenance/service, great on gas (however, my foot tends to be heavy in this car as it's got great get up and go) - just a great vehicle overall."
"I've owned mine 9 years now. It's been a crazy dependable auto. The tires are a bit pricey, but overall, the cost of maintenance has been minimal. The MPG has been pretty consistent. About 25mpg with mixed 70/30 hwy/city. In my opinion, they should have increased the gear ratio for 6th gear and it would have saved ALOT of gas on highway. I ran nothing but royal purple synthetic motor oil and she still purrs to this day... Always starts and runs smooth as silk.
The 6-speed manual takes a bit of getting used to at first, the clutch doesn't really engage till last 15% of pedal. The ratio of the gears is VERY much built for quick accelerating and is why the SE version smokes all other versions. 0-100 in this car once you know how to drive it, comes pretty quick. The handling is aggressive on dry pavement, but can be a bit dicey on wet. It surprisingly doesn't do too bad in snow. It's a bit nose heavy, that's probably why.
Love the room when you put the rear seats down. I hauled my complete patio furniture set. 4 swivel chairs and table..."
"I love my Tiburon. Out of all the cars I have owned this car has to be my favorite ride of all. outstanding power. Great looks, and comfortable. This car has been good to me and I am not going to sell it. I would rather fix any issue it may have then throw it to the curb. A GEM of a car. I have owned Cadillac , Honda, Ford, Chevy, and Toyota and never in my life thought I would love this car more than any other Make or Model."
Pros: "Fun to drive, great gas mileage, well-built & safe"
Cons: "small back seat leg room"

"This is one of the best made cars I've ever owned and I've had alot of cars over the years. The warranty and roadside assistance can't be beat! It has always started and runs very good. It gets GREAT gas mileage. It looks SHARP and turns heads. I bought it with 4 miles on it. I wanted a stick shift, but all they had left was automatics and this is the last year they made the Tiburon. This was the first Hyundai I've ever owned and I will definitely stick with this company!"
