If you're in the market for a mid-size sedan and the usual suspects fail to arouse your emotions, the 2013 Hyundai Sonata could be the perfect choice. Given its generous level of standard equipment, i
While Hyundai's groundbreaking Fluidic Sculpture design language resonates with many new-car buyers, some might prefer the more subtle looks of the Toyota Camry, Honda Accord or Chevrolet Malibu. When
For how quickly and smoothly the 2013 Hyundai Sonata pulls away from a stop, you'd swear there was a V6 engine under its sleek hood. Instead, what resides there is a 2.4-liter direct-injection 4-cylinder engine producing 200 horsepower and delivering fuel economy figures of 24 mpg city and 35 mpg highway. If that's not enough power for you, the 2013 Hyundai Sonata 2.0T sedan adds a turbocharger that brings output to a very healthy 274 horsepower. The Sonata excels in virtually every category, with excellent brakes and a suspension that deliver

"I was extatic to hear the price of this car when I purchased it for ALL the extras (which it is loaded) and the beautiful design. However.... The problems with the steering and handling which Hyundai could NEVER fix, the multiple recalls, and the covered problems that took multiple visits to correct which the a/c STILL sometimes won't go on while driving,( you have to turn the car off, start up again and turn on the a/c and then sometimes STILL blows hot air.... And this after replacing the heater head as they called it, the actual control on the dash) thank God for the 10yr 100,000. Mi warranty. But it gets GREAT mileage."

"I had a 2001 Sonata & EVERYTHING STILL WORKED! Then, I wrinkled a door pulling into a parking space. I realized that a claim would total it, so it was time to go get one of those 2011's I had been drooling about since the first time I saw one. [I test drove it when it first came out - by invitation. I even did an on camera spot but it didn't get used.] It won the 8 sedan shootout for 2011 [check it out, you can find the video from Motor Week] The only things I didn't like was not being able to get the paddle shifters on the Limited & having to buy the Nav & backup camera to get the Infinity audio. Then I heard there was going to be a TURBOCHARGED version coming in the spring & thought to myself [Heck, I'd just as soon wait for that] Flash forward to 2013. I FOUND ONE! It only had 10K miles, but was $7k cheaper than new. And it was CERTIFIED! I get the full remaining warranties - including NINETY THOUSAND MILES OR 8 YEARS ON THE DRIVETRAIN - INCLUDING THE TURBO! Brace yourself - that 2 liter has more horsepower than my old 5 liter Mustang did! I say brace yourself, because it was the first time in forty years that a car scared me into lifting my foot off the gas pedal. It scratched off the line, then scratched into second & I didn't want to know what else it might do. Where was that new car smell? after a couple of days, I realized it smelled like a baseball glove, because it was my first leather interior. DUH I love the interior, exterior, features, trunk space, EVERYTHING! I'm 5' 6" & it has a tilt/telescopic steering wheel [leather wrapped]. The most comfortable I've ever been in the driver's seat. I can't think of a thing to complain about, but do use a light foot. Or go get a radar detector. Or both - like me."
