"I have owned this car for two and a half years now and I have had one major problem with the car and two minor problems it. First, the timing chain tensioner went bad on me, twice. Which makes the car sound like a diesel. Both times the dealership fixed the problem without any hassle. The two minor problems with the car involve two squeaks in the car. One from the rear seat area which I have not been able to find and is only a periodic squeak, not constant. The other is a squeak coming from the climate control bezel. Other than that the car has performed flawlessly and has been nothing but reliable to me. I love the engine and how it performs. My friends and family have told me how quiet this car is. The ride is smooth yet somewhat soft for my tastes. Handling is accurate and pretty tight for a large car, despite the soft ride. A couple of friends and family members have actually gone out and bought Hyundai's themselves since I bought mine. I can't wait for the 2011 model to come out... I will be one of the first on line to get one."
"I bought the my 2009 Sonata GLS 4 cyl. brand new in May of 2008. I have been very happy with the car. It gets good gas mileage and has a powerful 180 hp 4 cyl engine. My only concern has been the way the transmittion seems to shift at very low RPM's. It could be programmed this way to save fuel though. I have not had any problems with the car. I have owned two Hyundai's previously, a 2002 Sonata which my son now has and is still ruunning well and a 2003 Tiburon which I traded in because of the problems with the dual mass clutch (which Hyundai refused to fix under warranty)"
