Pros: "More car for the money."

Cons: "It ain't no Bentley"

"On the Used car market, it is like buying a Camry or Honda for less than half the price, and getting all the size, all the power, probably all the reliability, almost all the confort and not quite the pizazz. To look at another way, with 4 grand to spend on a Sonata, you can find a nice, clean, pretty, low milage car that needs nothing. The 4,000 Camrey is over 15 years old, has 150k to 200k miles, and "needs TLK." "TLK" means more than Tender Loving Care. It means lots of money."

"I would DEFINATELY purchase another Hyundai Sonata; this time in RED..YES!!!!!!!!! I purchased this car, brand new, in 2002. I used it for work & it NEVER, NEVER, let me down. I drove through many, many treacherous "Snow Storms"; even when the highways were packed with snow; I put on my "TCS", traction control, and plowed right through drifts of snow, as high as 1 to 2 feet. On another occasion, I drove to Kansas, for my vacation; the car just hugged the road & I felt happy that I had selected this car; the car ride was comfortable & then it seemed to just float along, eating up the miles; she just mastered the road; the more gas you gave her, the sweeter the ride. It was a very, pleasurable experience; (roundtrip total miles 6,000) I still love her to this day."

Pros: "10 Year Warranty, reliable, & priced right!"

Cons: "I can't really think of anything I don't like!"

"The Sonata I'm driving now is my third Hyundai. I've had 1990 Excel, a 1984 Elantra, and currently own a 2004 Sonata. I have never had any significant problems with any of them that was not my own fault. If I had replaced the belt on my Sonata when it was recommended I wouldn't have had any problems. I am so sold on Hyundai's that with in the next six to eight months I plan on purchasing another Sonata. They are very reliable vehicles, drive nicely, and the value cannot be beat! Where else are you going to get a car with a ten year warranty at the price that you pay for a Hyundai?"

Pros: "Great performance on the road, reliable car"

Cons: "Just the doors' handles that lost some paint"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"I purchased this car new so I have owned it for 12 years already. It's very comfortable and the performance on the road is quite good. Yes, its horse power is only only around 140 HP but the fact that is not as heavy as the modern SUVs compensates for the relatively low HP number. In fact, I can easily pass any car I wish to pass on the road without much difficulty. Its interior is spacious and well designed. The colors of the panel and seats have not faded over the years. The exterior line is reminiscent of one of the Jaguar models of the late 1990s early 2000s. It's very reliable and I only had to do the regular suggested maintenance since I purchased the car. Surprisingly, the original battery is still working. It helps that I haven't placed too many miles on the car since I work very close to home. The other advantage of the car - when compared to modern cars - is the availability of parts and their price. I get parts for the car online and can choose from several OEM manufacturers at very reasonable prices. Then, I have my local mechanic install them at great savings for me. This is much harder to do with more modern cars since oftentimes special tools or equipment are needed to access the location of the parts and proceed with their replacement. Overall, a great car that I intend to continue driving for many years more."

Pros: "Just mentioned all the pros"

Cons: "Can't think of any cons."

"I've owned this 2002 Hyundai Sonata for 13 years, that should say something about the comfort and quality and design of the interior and exterior. It has been a great car and I would buy another Hyundai Sonata, but the prices of them have gone up considerably since I bought mine in 2002 brand new. I've taken very good care of it by bring it in for oil changes regularly, I've had the transmission fluid changed at the specific mileages and I've had the radiator fluid changed at required intervals. I've had to have the brakes done only a couple of times in all the years I've owned the car. I can produce all the receipts from the times I've brought the vehicle in for service. The reason I would think twice about recommending this car to a friend is because I don't like selling things to friends, no matter how good you take care of something if something goes wrong I wouldn't want my friend upset with me because I sold the car to them. I've seen a lot of this year's model Hyundai Sonata still on the road, which to me tells me a lot about the manufacturer Hyundai and the quality of their cars."

Pros: "Reliability, accelleration, handling, fun to drive"

Cons: "Chrome is peeling off interior parts."

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"The car has been rock solid from a reliability standpoint. Drive train has been exceellent. Trim quality hasn't stood up to time but the car is 11+ years old and has always been parked outside. I drive this car everywhere and put about 23K miles per year on. I have the V6 and it has a lot of power and the acceleration is excellent because of the HP to weight ratio. I have loved this car and only wish the trim was in better shape so I could keep it going longer. As it is, I'm planning on keeping it another 2 years and driving it to 300k miles. Very fun to drive on curves as well."
