"Does not handle as well as I would like for it to, especially on hard turns. Gas mileage is good at 20 mpg, but hwy. is only 25 mpg.
Should have cargo cover.
Also, has had 2 recalls and 2 problems which were covered by warranty."
"When we bought this car, I was driving 65 miles a day back and forth to work. The car is very comfortable, roomy and economical. When we go to replace this car, we will definitely look for another Santa Fe. By the way, we really like the dealer, and their quality of service."
"my last Santa Fe (2003) was traded at 89,910 miles for my present one. Never NEEDED BRAKES, Never NEEDED TIRES. The 2009, the dealer tells me, needs brakes at 35,570! Very disappointing! OR dealer is giving me the business. Took in for sqeaking in rear. Figured hung up caliper. They said new rear pads, rotor turning and front pads down to 20%. That is disappointing after previous experience and quite expensive. I haven't changed driving habits and even drive less. Makes me wonder if they built too robust a vehicle in '03 and have since lessend quality to cut costs or dealers were complaining about not enough service business!"
