If you want a good-looking, fuel-sipping compact car that offers a lot of features for the money, the 2013 Elantra deserves a high spot on your consideration list. Add in the fact that its interior te
Sharp handling, powerful acceleration and a plush ride are not characteristics found in the Hyundai Elantra. For a sportier ride, check out the Mazda3 or Ford Focus. For a compact that leans more on t
The 2013 Hyundai Elantra competently straddles the middle ground between frisky, fun-to-drive compacts like the Mazda3 and Ford Focus and the more comfort-oriented Chevy Cruze. Bland it is not, though. Hyundai's in-house transmissions – a 6-speed automatic or 6-speed manual – both work well to wring the most out of the Elantra's 148-horsepower engine while also getting the most out of the regular unleaded gasoline it uses. Steering could use some fine-tuning in the Coupe and sedan versions for better feel, but the GT hatchback benef

"I highly recommend this car! I just bought a New 2013 Hyundai Elantra GLS with Manual Transmission. Just reached my 1,000 mile mark. I upgraded the car by installing leather seats and sunroof. This is a great car. Everything about it is solid. The doors are nice and solid when you close them compared to Japanese cars (Honda or Toyota. There aren't any creeks when driving over bumps. I used to own the Hyundai Tiburon and it lasted so many years without needing repairs. My family asked me to upgrade to something with a smoother suspension and better gas mileage. So I bought the new Hyundai Elantra. It's a great car. I get average 33-34MPG. And usually 37-38MPG highway. I love the style, sound system, and steering. It's not the fastest car on the street. But that's not why I bought it. Compared to Nissan, Honda, Toyota; the Hyundai Elantra is the best car on the market. I highly recommend this car!"

"I bought my GLS model on May 9th, and like my car more and more each time I drive it. I drive mostly in town and some minor freeway driving and with eco mode on I am getting 29 mpg in town driving and have even gotten 32 mpg in town. I have yet to take a trip, so no comment on highway mpg. I downsized from an F-150 super crew and this car is much easier to park and drive, plus much, much better fuel economy. If you are looking for a good compact car I highly recommend this one."
