"I highly recommend this car! I just bought a New 2013 Hyundai Elantra GLS with Manual Transmission. Just reached my 1,000 mile mark. I upgraded the car by installing leather seats and sunroof. This is a great car. Everything about it is solid. The doors are nice and solid when you close them compared to Japanese cars (Honda or Toyota. There aren't any creeks when driving over bumps. I used to own the Hyundai Tiburon and it lasted so many years without needing repairs. My family asked me to upgrade to something with a smoother suspension and better gas mileage. So I bought the new Hyundai Elantra. It's a great car. I get average 33-34MPG. And usually 37-38MPG highway. I love the style, sound system, and steering. It's not the fastest car on the street. But that's not why I bought it. Compared to Nissan, Honda, Toyota; the Hyundai Elantra is the best car on the market. I highly recommend this car!"

I own this car - My approximate mileage is 750
overall rating 10 of 10rating detailsPros: "Gas mileage, comfort, price, design, and ride."
Cons: "None"

"I bought my GLS model on May 9th, and like my car more and more each time I drive it. I drive mostly in town and some minor freeway driving and with eco mode on I am getting 29 mpg in town driving and have even gotten 32 mpg in town. I have yet to take a trip, so no comment on highway mpg. I downsized from an F-150 super crew and this car is much easier to park and drive, plus much, much better fuel economy. If you are looking for a good compact car I highly recommend this one."

"I have owned 3 Hyundai's in the past 10 years and my 2012 Elantra is my favorite. I just returned from a road trip and when I arrived home, the avg fuel economy on the dash read 42.7 MPG. My combined hwy/road mileage is 30MPG. I don't know how other Elantra owners are driving their cars but I have found it easy to get great mileage. The car handles well and the ride is smooth."

overall rating 4 of 10rating detailsLikely to recommend this car? (1-10): 1
"I purchased 2012 Elantra, mainly for the advertised MPG, 28 city 40 highway. My average in flat Florida is 24 combined highway and city. Hyundai got caught in this lie and said it was a mistake? How hard is it for manufacturer to be accurate on fuel mileage. Now they are paying us owners a few dollars a year to compensate us for bad mileage. This compensation is lucky if it buys a tank of gas. I will never even consider another Hyundai do to it's false advertising."
