"In 2003 When I first saw my Elantra on the dealer's lot I knew it was the car for me. I was right - it was under $4000 and it has been extraordinarily low maintenance and highly reliable. The only repairs were tires, my various fender benders (I spent A LOT of time on the road), and occasional routine maintenance. Had I maintained it as scheduled on a regular basis - it would have been like a classic car - looks and reliability. My little hatchback was a wonderful "work horse" for the past 13 years! Thanks Hyundai!!"
"As good or better then any car in its class. With a 100000 mile warranty they build them to last like a Toyota Corolla, Honda Civic. Great value. I use the best oil no matter how expensive and keep maintenance up and in return it gives me worry free fun driving. Seats are leather and comfortable and it handles wonderful."
"I love this car, and it loves me. I love it because it never needs repair, just the usual oil changes, etc. It loves me because it doesn't cost me any money repairing it! Really, this car is incredibly reliable. Worth every dime I spent buying it!"
"Cons: One major flaw is going fast uphill on freeways or roadways marked at higher speed limits 50mph and above such as real inclines not just hills, with only automatic driving(The car has some options for shifting manually, which is described in the vehicles description page on this website)
Other flaws depend on how its driven and used, such as alignment issues*(although I have heard most cars have to deal with that regularly every few months too).
Pros: Good handling, speed increase and speed decrease such as acceleration and deceleration are superb(With proper upkeep). On icy roads with proper handling has awesome control(its very comfortable driving in Oregon in most locals).
Another pro it is fun to drive!"
"Followed manufacturer's maintenance and warm 4 min. before driving, like new, Will last 250,000 miles dealer said. I care for the interior even floor mats good because i have a mat over mat that came with the car.
Brakes did go 75,000 miles. As I live alone I automatically replace the battery every 3 or 3-1/2 years to avoid being stranded. Put Michelins on my car, 2nd set.
For reliability you can't beat a Hyundai if you take care of it and change oil frequently. I love it and wouldn't buy anything but a Hyundai in the future."
