"Bought this car about a year ago and havent had any issues with it since. There is a slight tapping noise when you start it after its sat for awhile but other than that its good. For the GT model its kind of a pooch, if they put the Beta motor from the Tiburon or Elantra into it, it would be more deserving of the GT badging. Other than that I average 30 MPG even with my heavy foot!"

"I have owned two of these cars through my driving school. They are basic models and reliable with the exception that there appears to be a problem with the starter. On both cars I have noticed the starter has lagged when trying to start the car-- i have replaced one starter already to the cost of $400 and one timing belt-- another $400. Hopefully I will get 150K miles out of these cars???!! In town mileage is about 25mpg."

"I just bought this car & I love it. It runs great, handles pretty good & it's spory looking. I'm getting between 31 & 33 mpg & all I did to it was spark plugs, plug wires & a new air filter. It hugs the road & is peppy enough to zip in & out of traffic."

"Great little car for he money.....100,000 miles and still going.....A/C is the best....alway average above 30mpg....also when the manual says change the timing belt at 50,000 mile intervals... do it! Clutch is still good...exhaust good....I had to replace all three brake light bulbs twice...I am on my second set of brakes...orginal rotors....great commute car...when this car goes belly up I will more than likely buy another...."
