"I have had a full cargo rack with side ladders designed for my hummer. It has electric running boards for easy entry to the car. These fold up flush to the under Carrige and act as skids. Both rack and running boards are steel. Also have heavy duty snow chains but have never had to use them."

Pros: "Roomy inside, manageable size outside, good MPG"

Cons: "Tires are expensive"

"The Hummer H3 is an ideal vehicle for my needs. Hunting and fishing are made easier with the Hummer's off-road features. Plus, with the Yakima skybox on the roof rack, three guys can go on a four-day fishing trip with all equipment stowed away sufficient to have the passenger compartment totally uncluttered, providing lots of space to make those several hour trips even more comfortable. I average 20 miles to the gallon, which beats most if not all other larger SUVs. It's a great commuting car as well, providing lots of on-road comfort... I'm 6'1" and almost can't reach the pedals with the driver's seat on the next to last click. The steering wheel is made for a large person, the shifter is huge, lots of headroom, lots of elbow room. Looking at the Hummer I was concerned about the rear window visibility. No problem, with large side view mirrors to help, backing up even in tight spaces is no stress. It's fun telling people you drive a Hummer, people seem to like it and make positive comments all the time. I'd have to say, all-in-all, I love this Hummer more than any vehicle I've ever owned."

"This H3 has been by far "THE" most reliable vehicle I have ever owned. It was not a vehicle that I went searching for but I have been completely satisfied and impressed with the performance. It is getting a few miles on it but the vehicle still runs like a TOP"

Pros: "Very good off road, more comfort than a Jeep!"

Cons: "not a darn thing."

"I've beat the heck out of my '06 H3 over the years, had it since July 2005...some repairs of drivetrain issues, but all covered under GM warranty & only happened because I actually used it off road! It's been driven thru Moab, UT trails, across the whole country & back, up & over the mountain trails of PA, mudholes in Michigan, back country trips everywhere, easily handles 1.5 ft of snow, cant say enough about it's off road capabilities."

Cons: "No cons. It has been a great vehicle."

"If Hummers were still made, I would purchase another one. After driving sports cars exclusively, I originally thought the H3 would be too big, too difficult to park, too tough to handle. Not the case! I LOVE this vehicle. It is a great car for trips-a lot of cargo space and very comfortable. I do not go off-roading with it, mostly city driving except for trips. I look it as a variation of a SUV. There is definitely a fun factor with the H3."
