"This 4WD is great for what it is: A rugged, high-performance, off-road vehicle. As a hand-made vehicle, there are some minor build-quality issues. Also, maintenance can be expensive, and you absolutely must stay current on upkeep unless you want a break-down. Comfort is good enough with the cloth seats for a 10-state tour around the Western United States."

"I have always had SUVs but this is my first Hummer H1. It is almost indescribable how much I love this vehicle. I realize it will cost quite a bit to maintain but I already feel confident it will be worth every penny. Everything about my H1 is the hardcore definition of what a real SUV should be."

"the hummer h1 is probably the safest most capable SUV ever manufactured. The ride is a whole lot more comfortable than one would think. When hitting the trails on the weekend you know you will be the talk of the camp when your pulling people out of mud holes all day. The 6.5 liter Turbo Diesel is not the most powerful thing out there but it will take you where you need to go. The main problem out there for the hummer h1 is the availability, the gas mileage, and the price tag. If you have the money and like to be different than the hummer h1 is the way to go."
