"It's true. I've owned 5 red Preludes, starting in the 1980s. Not one of them has ever done me wrong. The one I own now is a 2000. Mileage is good. Repairs and maintenance are minimal. Driving is effortless and fun. But this truly is a 2-seater--no room in the back seat for anyone who wants to put their feet down on the floor. The Prelude had an excellent record till the day Honda stopped making them. Love em!"

Pros: "VERY fun drive, easy to maintain, reliable, mileage"

Cons: "91 octane gas"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"This car is great. It is solid in handling and looks. Its a Honda so it runs forever with very little repair. It is comfortable to drive, feels sporty and looks good. I dont think there are very many new cars that even have as good of lines as this one. It has power like a V6 but with better gas mileage. I get 27 hwy no problem. the only con I can think of is it really requires the 91 octane gas, and you can tell a difference in performance if you go below plus. You dont save any money that way because it is built to be efficient w/ that octane. There is comfortable room in the back seat. The trunk is HUGE. It is easy to maintain.I am probably about to sell and pass it on to someone else just to upgrade a little......but I love my car so much I have been finding it hard to find something else I love as much. If they still made preludes I would just trade up to a newer model. It is my favorite car I have ever owned. Even at 190k plus miles I have driven it to from CA to TX twice and frequent trips to Norther California from LA area with NO problems whatsoever. Great Great car. I hope whoever I sell it to (likely some kid who will pimp it out and race it..LOL) Loves it as much as I have."

Pros: "Great styling, great value, a dream to drive, BEYOND reliable"

Cons: "small back seat (but so what?)"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"This car has been absolutely amazing to me. I am the second owner, having owned the car for just over 18 months now (bought it from a friend). Repairs have been negligible (as in: I've done 1 repair due to an oil leak in the winter, and it came in at under $100.) I do regular oil changes as any responsible car owner should. I do NOT baby the car when driving. Not saying I slam on the pedals, but this car has GUTS when I need it to. Handling is beautiful. The tranny is an automatic and so far it's still shifting very well (the dealership even looked it over when I was considering trading it in, and noted "drives well"... couldn't part with it in the end, though!) For the first time with any car I've owned, EVERYTHING WORKS! I press a button, and the designated action HAPPENS. Every time. I'm sure this is the case for almost if not all Hondas... but this has been my first Honda, so I like to gloat. Such a pleasure of a car to own and drive. Fantastic bang for the buck. And yes, as mentioned, the back seats are small. BUT in a pinch, a baby can be loaded in (done it!), and a short person can sit back there at the same time as the baby. Or... one larger person can fit in the back. Basically what I'm saying is the car wasn't designed for much back seat use, but that doesn't mean it won't accommodate it. Seriously - if you're considering one of these, think on it no more. This car will be a great performer for years to come. Top quality."
