Pros: "Smoothist Ride-Roomy-Tons of Features-Last Forever"

Cons: "Pilots are Expensive to Buy & Expensive to Repair"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"I have the EX-L loaded model with all the bells and whistles except I didnt get 4WD. I love how smooth my Pilot drives! Its like riding on clouds. I have had NO problems with this vehicle AT ALL! My navigation system works great! I love all the extras Honda throws in like heated leather seats, garage dr opener, alarm, sunroof, numerous outlets to plug in chargers, steering wheel easy access buttons, VSA traction control, back up camera, cruise control, tinted windows, power everything, on & on etc., But above & beyond all the cool features Honda includes, there are a couple things I extra appreciate such as the windshield is tilted more than any other vehicle I have ever owned, which makes it more difficult for the windshield to get broken by a rock flying up from the car in front of you on the road, but I bought a black bug deflector for the front hood anyway bc it really looks great against my gold metalic paint. I looked at tons of other cars & suvs but I could not find any vehicle that compared to this Pilot for a smooth ride, plenty of room, all the extra's it has or the fact that its a good looking vehicle! As long as you keep this car serviced with oil changes etc, it will last treat you well. I love all the windows in the back bc it means less blind spots. Owning this Pilot makes you want to go on trips driving across the U.S., it makes driving a good experience! This Pilot is a little wide which you need to remember when driving bc the doors are not flat, they round out a few inches more than adverage. And these SUVs are top heavy, so you need to be extra careful when taking corners at increased speed so you dont roll over altho Honda does have a roll bar built into the frame of the vehicle. I have found not everyone knows how to work on Hondas and there are special fluids for the radiator(blue) and trans. Overall, regardless of the high price I paid, its worth having a vehicle that makes me happy when I drive it. I know I will have this vehicle for a long time because I enjoy everything about it, not to mention the fact they really do last 300,000 miles plus!"

Pros: "4wd is great, awesome for families"

Cons: "Mpg could be better, plastic wears easy"

"This has been a great sub for us, our first one was a 2006, it was totaled, I had a loan on it. The payoff check purchased our current 2003 Honda Pilot, it had 197k on it, we purchased for 3500, there were people calling the seller off the hook, but we were first to come with cash. He had all ain't receipts, and car was in good shape, it was 4wd. So the timing belt teeth broke off at 202,00 miles, it happened in my garage, so I don't believe the valves to be damaged. I replaced the belt myself, and will finish this week. I just really wanted to write in to everyone. Also when we bought it the tranny started acting up, a fluid exchange at the dealer for 225$ corrected all problems, and it drive the 5,000 miles to its current state with no issues on tranny. We will spend money to fix it if I cannot myself, there are 2 pilots on CL right now that are same year, lower miles, one is 2wd for 9995, the other 4wd for 11,995! A good suv if reg maint is done with Honda fluids only!"
