Cons: "Interior doesn't wear well"

"I've loved my car, I've had it since I was 16 and I just graduated college. I drove it across the country to school and it's been a reliable beast. Few repairs here and there but that is to be expected from a car that is almost old enough to drive itself. Mine looks pretty worn out mostly because I was 16 when I got it. Cosmetically, it isn't looking great. I did have to replace the brakes but I'm pretty sure that was my fault. It gets me where I need it to without much hassle."

Pros: "Dependable, Economical, Reasonable Comfort"

Cons: "If luxury is your focus, not likely ring the bell"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"After 10+ years still have the original brakes and exhaust system. Received a $2,000 green tax deduction in 2005 when purchased. Honda replaced the hybrid battery pack at 9.5 years without any hassle. Had to replace catalytic convertor after 9.5 years. This car has been more dependable, loyal, and reliable than two spouses and almost as valuable as my 7 year old Bichon Frise, Chester. Over the last 10+ years compared to a car that averaged 25 mpg, calculate a %5,200 gasoline saving at $3.30/gallon. I am keeping the car, now that the hybrid battery is new, otherwise I would buy the same car again. If you want dependability, economy, and reasonable comfort this is a great car. Winters in Maine bring fuel mpg down to about 40-42 mpg. But summers rarely require running AC."

Pros: "trouble free"

Cons: "needs a little more power and brakes could be bete"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"Car was trouble free up to about 240,000 miles. Then had problems with an oil leak and water pump. If you do the regular maintence will give you literally trouble free service. Everything still works. interior still in good shape."

Pros: "gas mileage, dependability, simple to drive"

Cons: "nothing negative to report"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"Bought this car used at 30K in 2006, and have loved it for 9 years now. The Civic is relatively inexpensive to maintain, and has provided worry free miles; just keep up with basic maintenance. We use the Civic mainly as a commuter car, but have taken it on several longer trips (one over 4000 miles) and have gotten as high as 41 mpg. Have had many people ask about buying our Civic, but the car is just too darn good to part with."
