"The 7th generation (2006) Honda Accord is still a very good car, mechanically and visually speaking. The two door model that I own has a classically sporty look to it, and with the V6 engine producing 244 HP, it feels sporty as well. It is no Subaru WRX, but for what it is, a family sedan, it feels peppy and sporty. The body style adds to the sporty feel with its sleek lines. Great attention to detail was taken designing this car. The space between the body panels is less than half the size of previous years, and other cars. The trunk was redesigned from 2005 to put the third break light on the trunk lid, rather than in the rear window. With the addition of the spoiler or the lip, although honestly its pointless for anything other than looks, but you will have a great looking vehicle. The standard 17" rims look good for being stock, the front end looks somewhat aggressive, fits the body style very well. The Interior was slightly modified from 2005 as well. The gauge cluster was adjusted to give it a better look, its modest yet noticeable. The car now comes with heated mirrors and a different name for the traction control (I don't know if its mechanically different). Finally some minor changes to the buttons finish off the interior changes. You feel like your in the cockpit when driving this car. The seat holds your body and is quite comfortable. It has an adjustable lumbar support. Dual zone climate control, heated seats, and a nice 'auto' climate control button that will, as fast as possible, reach the temperature that you set your dial to. With conservative driving I get 26 to 27 MPG, but even with more aggressive driving, it only goes to 24 to 25 MPG. The cars automatic transmission shifts nicely, its not harsh and its not sluggish, like some auto transmissions that take forever to change gears. The only noticeable delay is when engaging reverse. With 150k+ miles, it still feels powerful enough to feel sporty. The VTEC is a noticeable boost at high RPMs and you feel like you're in a much more powerful car than you are. The manual transmission would be much preferred if you are looking for sporty driving, and one thing I wish I had. The standard radio is nice for what it is, even with some quite cheap stock speakers, they do sound fairly well and have a decent mix of bass and treble. I opted for an upgrade however. To add a third party stereo, you either loose dual climate control and digital temp readings, or you loose the storage cubby at the bottom of the console. Because the dual climate control and the other features are important to me, I opted to loose the storage. Because of my speaker box, I lost the 60/40 split rear seat usefulness, but before I put that in I was able to take advantage of the significant room available to you with both seats down. Unlike some cars, to put the seats down you do not need to remove the head rest and fold numerous seats, just lean the backs down, that is all. The trunk is spacious and has implements to attach cargo netting to. The space saver spare is under the floor of the trunk, and while utilitarian, a full size spare would be better. The power sunroof works well and is quite when fully opened, even at freeway speeds. The power windows are fast and reliable, the power seats can get you positioned in nearly any position you want. The road noise is noticeable at freeway speeds, so your tires are important. Having a noisy worn tire will make you think your wheel bearings are failed, however its just the road noise. The 2006 model is a further refined 7th gen Accord. Its a good car and I have been fully satisfied with it."

"Honda's manual transmission is responsive the engine is surprisingly powerful for a 4 cylinder. The car handles like a dream I love taking it on mountain roads in snow. I drive 20,000 miles per year bought the car used and have had no major repair problems. I am a college student and use it to travel between the midwest and east coast on 15 hour+ drives. after 15 hours the seats are still comfortable."

"My 2007 Honda Accord 3.0 is spec at approximately 250HP, thats pretty good for a 4 door sedan. Ive had this car since 2009 and can say driving it is a joy. Its classy, sporty, functional, and fun ! Im married and the father of two so this car is also used for family outings, It has plenty of space for the adults up front and the kids in the back. It huggs the road like a much sportier than it is and has the get up and go to make other drivers take notice when you gas it. The fit and finish of my Honda are good, i have a few buzz'y and rattles that ive never tracked down that can be a little annoying but there minor, and im sure if i looked harder i could find them. The bad, this car is a guzzler of a Honda witht he 3.0 in it, you want that power your going to pay for it. You'r also going to pay for that ubber tight stearing in the form of a slightly harsher ride quality. Dependability ? Its never left us on the side of the road, although it has cost us some $$ considering the miles on it and its year. $400 for a starter , $300 for a rear wheel hub assembly, $500 in brake work, 3 sets of tires (yes it likes to eat tires even when not driven hard) ive easily spend atleast $2000 in the past 4 years at the local honda dealer on bigger stuff, i do most of my own maintence at home (the garage only got the car when my wife took it in when i was to busy) Ive replaced belts, and pads, lots of oil changes, etc.. I wont lie on here and say this has been the cheapest car on the upkeep side, when a Honda breaks and you take it to the dealer.. you better have some room on your credit card.. Overall im Happy this is my family second accord and both have been the same way, dependable cars, fun to drive, pricey to fix when they break, and they do break. I would buy this car again.. but dont believe the hype than Honda's are worry free, trouble free cars. All cars have tehre gremlins."
