"Make 2005 Accord, EX, 4-cyl with Nav, Staellite radio & leather trim. 44k miles after 3 years Value(5) - Just checked the value on KBB & the value seems fair compared to similar models from other manufacturers. We've kept our car in excellent condition & do beleive that we got a good value for our money on this purchase. Reliability(5) - Reliable as a work horse. Keep it running, do your regular maintenance & this car will run. Never had issues, the only major expense we had was a chipped windshield. We've driven 10-11 hrs non-stop, with only the usual fill-up breaks & the thought that anything will fail never crossed our mind. Quality(4) - The plastic cover on the seat handles came off once & so did the navigation joystick. Besides that everything is snug in it's place. Don't expect a fine wood grain finish or such. For the price, everything is in order & we can't complain. On the sound front the eq provides only the treble & bass adjustments, wish there were more, the sound quality is good though. We have the 6-cd changer but unfortunately it doesn't play mp3's, I'm sure the newer models do. The controls on the steering wheel are well designed for easy accessibility while driving. Performance(4) - We have the 4-cyl model & it's meant to give you a good balance between acceleration & mileage, don't expect more from it. For it's purpose the engine does it's job well. On the mileage side I'm more than happy. On long drives I manage to get 36-38 mpg, in city freeway driving I get 30 mpg & stop-n-go traffic I get 26-28 mpg. For my wife the figures are atleast 2 miles less in each category above. Don't forget that the mileage is not only a function of the engine but is also a function of how you drive. I once managed to get 40mpg just by driving it at 60 mph for 2 hrs. Styling(4) - I hated the way this car looked(because of less curves & more edges) when we brought it, but my wife absolutely loved it(thats why we brought it). After 3 yrs I'm neutral to it's looks. The interior has gray leather, another point I did not like, could've been beige. The car lacks an ashtray. Comfort(5) - I did not realize how comfy our car was till I stepped into an audi. I'm 5'9" & the audi felt tight. The honda on the other hand feels amazingly roomy for all passengers. Arm rests are provided for front passengers & the rear passengers have a retractable arm rest(shared) in the center. I miss this feature in our chevy. Car seats 5 passengers easily. we have a power driver seat & wished we had one for the passenger. The front seats have seat warmers. Could do with more on the rear. We also have the dual temp controllers where I have mine set to 70 & my wife's on 80 in the winter. A good feature in our car is when you set the temp to say 65 in winter, the heater kicks in while in the summer the cooling kicks in, nice feature. The trunk is roomy & holds 2 full airplane size bags plus a couple of smaller bags which I think is more than enuff for a car. Safety(5) - We have 6 air-bags & do feel that it should provide ample protection. Haven't had a chance to try it, fingers crossed :) Navigation & Other(5) - We have the in-built navigation system & we love it more than the after market ones because you can program it by talking to it, great when you are driving. You can also talk to the car to perform other functions like changing radio stations, cds, temperature, etc. The navigation also stores your previous destinations, home address, etc. The nav also provides a directory to lookup destinations by category, cities, etc. With the nav came the automated trip meter which can be set to reset when you refuel, helps you check your mileage, time elapsed since last fill-up & miles traveled. End notes: This car has been a good-buy for us. We like the features it has. My wife dislikes the 4-cyl but like I said, for it's purpose it's just fine. We don't intend to part with this car anytime soon, we like it & would recommend it to others based on our experience."

Pros: "Engine, transmission, gas mileage, comfort"

Cons: "brakes are not as crisp as they could be"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"Bought this car when my commute increased to 60 miles per day. Most of that is highway. Have averaged 32 mpg overall every year. Best tank ever, on a long trip, delivered 37.7 mpg. Easily the best engine/transmission of any car I've ever owned. Somewhat boring on handling, but very predictable. Overall ride and cabin comfort very nice. I do my own oil, air filter, wiper blade changes and rotate the tires every 5000 miles. I took it in for its first service at 120k to have all four brakes overhauled, serpentine belt, radiator hoses, battery"
