Pros: "Great pick-up, gas mileage, reliable"

Cons: "Low seating is a bit awkward"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"I have owned this 2005 Honda since it was 1 year old. I bought it from an older couple who decided they didn't like the seating. It had 3,000 miles on it. This car has been an incredibly reliable, dependable car. I did have to replace the power steering pump but can't remember how many miles it had on it. Maybe 40,000+. On city driving, I get 22 mpg and on the highway, particularly long trips, have gotten as much as 35 mpg, but 30 is more average. The only complaint is this car is low to the ground so a little awkward getting in/out. Everything on this car still works great...air conditioning, power everything a-ok. I have had all the regular maintenance done to it and feel that has probably helped the reliability of it. I think the leather seats aren't the best quality, but that's a minor complaint."

Pros: "fun to drive, looks good, comfortable, nice"

Cons: "plastic headlamps fade with age"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 8

"The 7th generation (2006) Honda Accord is still a very good car, mechanically and visually speaking. The two door model that I own has a classically sporty look to it, and with the V6 engine producing 244 HP, it feels sporty as well. It is no Subaru WRX, but for what it is, a family sedan, it feels peppy and sporty. The body style adds to the sporty feel with its sleek lines. Great attention to detail was taken designing this car. The space between the body panels is less than half the size of previous years, and other cars. The trunk was redesigned from 2005 to put the third break light on the trunk lid, rather than in the rear window. With the addition of the spoiler or the lip, although honestly its pointless for anything other than looks, but you will have a great looking vehicle. The standard 17" rims look good for being stock, the front end looks somewhat aggressive, fits the body style very well. The Interior was slightly modified from 2005 as well. The gauge cluster was adjusted to give it a better look, its modest yet noticeable. The car now comes with heated mirrors and a different name for the traction control (I don't know if its mechanically different). Finally some minor changes to the buttons finish off the interior changes. You feel like your in the cockpit when driving this car. The seat holds your body and is quite comfortable. It has an adjustable lumbar support. Dual zone climate control, heated seats, and a nice 'auto' climate control button that will, as fast as possible, reach the temperature that you set your dial to. With conservative driving I get 26 to 27 MPG, but even with more aggressive driving, it only goes to 24 to 25 MPG. The cars automatic transmission shifts nicely, its not harsh and its not sluggish, like some auto transmissions that take forever to change gears. The only noticeable delay is when engaging reverse. With 150k+ miles, it still feels powerful enough to feel sporty. The VTEC is a noticeable boost at high RPMs and you feel like you're in a much more powerful car than you are. The manual transmission would be much preferred if you are looking for sporty driving, and one thing I wish I had. The standard radio is nice for what it is, even with some quite cheap stock speakers, they do sound fairly well and have a decent mix of bass and treble. I opted for an upgrade however. To add a third party stereo, you either loose dual climate control and digital temp readings, or you loose the storage cubby at the bottom of the console. Because the dual climate control and the other features are important to me, I opted to loose the storage. Because of my speaker box, I lost the 60/40 split rear seat usefulness, but before I put that in I was able to take advantage of the significant room available to you with both seats down. Unlike some cars, to put the seats down you do not need to remove the head rest and fold numerous seats, just lean the backs down, that is all. The trunk is spacious and has implements to attach cargo netting to. The space saver spare is under the floor of the trunk, and while utilitarian, a full size spare would be better. The power sunroof works well and is quite when fully opened, even at freeway speeds. The power windows are fast and reliable, the power seats can get you positioned in nearly any position you want. The road noise is noticeable at freeway speeds, so your tires are important. Having a noisy worn tire will make you think your wheel bearings are failed, however its just the road noise. The 2006 model is a further refined 7th gen Accord. Its a good car and I have been fully satisfied with it."

"Honda's manual transmission is responsive the engine is surprisingly powerful for a 4 cylinder. The car handles like a dream I love taking it on mountain roads in snow. I drive 20,000 miles per year bought the car used and have had no major repair problems. I am a college student and use it to travel between the midwest and east coast on 15 hour+ drives. after 15 hours the seats are still comfortable."
