2000 Honda Accord

Great, GREAT Car!

I own this car - My approximate mileage is 246,000

Pros: "Reliable, fun to drive, great looking, comfortable"

Cons: "None, I have none.."

"I've owned this car from the start. It's been an amazing car; in the 11 years I've owned it I've had to replace the rear bushings, the wiper arms, the alternator, brakes, tires and wiper blades...that's it! To this day I still get good gas mileage, it isn't burning any oil, it has the original exhaust and it's great on ice and snow. I'm giving it to my nephew this evening, and I'm very sad to see it go."

Bought the "Marysville" car used and love it

"My experience with this car has been very good. I bought it with 6000 miles on it and have kept it strong. Frankly, it's a super bare bones car. <- I do not need bells and whistles. Most everything has stayed perfect: basic mechanics, paint, interior (headliner, dash, all), A/C, ULEV engine, no leaks. Normal maintenance has been done. Timing belt at 100000 and transmission overhaul at 90000. And the best? No car payment for a car that runs and drives like new. Hey, I'm keeping it to 200000 or more."

Lemon

Pros: "At this point, none."

Cons: "Falling apart one piece at a time"

"Ran great until about 160k... after this it was catalytic converter problems, axle assembly needed replaced, transmission failure, ignition switch failure... all told, 3K to fix (more than the value of the car). Ive been brand loyal to Honda since I started driving, but this will be my last Honda."

Solid Ride!

Pros: "Value, Reliability, Automatic Transmission"

Cons: "No power anything, No Frills"

"I have the VP Accord. I belive it stands for "Value Package". I've owned this car for 5 years and it is amazing. I have a lot of love for this car. It is definitely low on frills, but it was engineered incredibly well and provides outstanding value. Mine has 110,00 miles on it and takes even the steepest hills of San Francisco with no problem. I call it the "Grey Ghost" because it blends in so well. It's practically invisible, like a ghost."
