"I purchased this car used with 55K mi. One year and 11K mi. later, the car is better. In the city the manual shift makes this car very peppy and easy on gas. The clutch is firm an not spongy or excessively soft as in some expensive sedans I've driven. The same goes for the brake pedal. On the highway it shines, returned 32mpg in my last trip, pushing 80 - 90 mph all the way. It will surprise how fast and comfortable the car can be. It is overall a well put together package and more than anything, it is a balanced car.
The brakes are great, but the factory rotors tend to warp very easy, no big deal. Once the Vtec opens, you can really feel it pushing. Specially at higher speeds. The engine feels very happy and is smooth when revved hard. The only real complaint is with the steering wheel, which is thin and feels cheap. And the paint/sheet metal are very thin. Based on my experience with this Honda, I will absolutely buy the newer model."
