Pros: "Large vehicle, does exactly what it should"

Cons: "Removing 3rd row seats is a pain."

"I LOVE my Yukon, and found that GMC thought of everything. I am in market for a new SUV, and have been saddened to find out that the new models are not as good as mine - for instance, the rear hatch does not raise as high on the newer models, and I hit my head. My 2001 is comfortable, clean lines, reliable, and can haul anything I want inside, or tow anything I want outside. Most of the time I leave the 3rd row seats out, because they get in the way when raised, but I generally know in advance when I will need the extra seating."

"Z55 shock replaced still rides like a3/4 ton pickup the cost of shocks 1200.00 computer cost another 600 that's uninstalled. replaced break booster over 1K, throttle body , tack ,gas petal asb.,rewire things that should never go wrong the GM makes you pay for. I don't mind paying for the gas you expect that when custom order a 12,000GVW 500 hp. Professional Grade a joke. I've owned 4 sub/uk this on has convinced me not to buy GM ever again. They also raised after 2000 4" higher and 6" narrower did they learn about stability from Ford Explorer ?"

Pros: "Exceptionally reliable/comfortable to drive"

Cons: "Cheap interior materials / plastic."

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"The only problem I have had in eleven years is the auto temp/A/C control sensors. A known issue for this year vehicle. I had all replaced at the same time once there was a failure and that is it. It always runs and gets approximately 15 mpg towing or not and is comfortable to drive for long periods of time. The interior materials are typical GM of the time. Not great but have worn well and everyone who sees her wants to buy her. Enough said."

"We have a small automotive licensee business and travel coast to coast to auto shows with this Yukon loaded to the ceiling and it has worked super for 366000 miles as 5 Suburban and GMCs have over 29 years. I believe the key is a good mechanic and replacing everything before it quits plus oil & fluids every 3k-30k and Firestones every 30k."

"Have had no luck with early ford products (40,50,59. Went to Gm Waldorf Astoria Gm show and have been GM for life.6 children had us in station wagons,Chevies and Buicks.Only "minor maint." complaints.During my last 3 yrs high school I worked as asst. mechanic and THINK I developed a good opinion of cars at that time ('48-'51). We couldn't afford the likes of a Yukon until 2005 and this is the BEST we've ever had the pleasure to own."
