I own this car - My approximate mileage is 14,800
overall rating 9 of 10rating detailsPros: "lack of road noise, lots of leg room in back seat"
Cons: "rear seats don't fold totally flat"
Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10
"After driving an entry-level Honda CRV for 5 yrs., I did a lot of research into crossover small SUV's that offered a definite upgrade. The Honda was very noisy and the back seat had no leg room; there was no lumbar support for the driver and the upholstery was hard to clean. All the newer small SUV's seemed to look alike and I liked that the Terrain had it's own look - bigger and bolder! It's 500 lbs. heavier and a wee bit larger overall than the CRV (which made me feel better for driving in traffic). The basic package included so much - even more than the higher-end Honda (which never had any mechanical problems - it was just too, too basic)! The sliding back seat is awesome, there is virtually NO road noise, I can start the car remotely on cold mornings, I love the XM radio, etc. and etc. It's a GREAT car and I highly recommend it. I truly don't know why it's rated as a truck - driving it is a dream! My husband likes driving it also - which is a real compliment! We are very active retirees."

I own this car - My approximate mileage is 3,500
overall rating 8 of 10rating detailsPros: "Quiet"
Cons: "Expensive, less cargo room, no intelilink"
Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 9
"I've owned this car for about five months and for the most, I love it. It is lacking a bit in get up and go but not enough to really matter. It shifts smoothly and is impressively quiet. The radio interface is a little far away for the driver to reach. And I am disappointed there is no intelilink as promised. The rear lift gate is awesome! We have 3500 miles and are getting approximately 23-24 mpg. Not bad. Overall, I'd recommend this vehicle over the rav4."

I owned and sold this car
Reason: bad mpg, noisy engine, fearful of the future. - My approximate mileage is 46,000
Pros: "Great looking vehicle."
Cons: "Very poor mpg, noisy engine."
Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 1
"Purchased this vehicle for my wife mainly because of the mpg it advertised and she liked the looks. Traded in a 2007 Toyota Sequia v8 for it. As of to date, and 46000 miles later, have never seen 32mpg. She drives mainly highway and it stays right at 19mpg all the time. Air condition has gone out twice in the middle of summer, engine knocks, hesitates and sometimes dies; 4 cylinder is way underpowered for this car. Don't really think GMC did their homework when it came to this vehicle. I believe they rushed it into production to compete with everyone else. Two days ago I switched back to Toyota, 2011 4runner, V6. Thing has stayed right at 21mpg, no knocks, no hesitation, no worries. I do not recommend the Terrain to anybody, especially not the 4 cylinder engine, go with the 6 banger if you have to have one."
