"I got this truck about 6 months ago. Being 20 years old its dependable and an all-around tough truck. It was used as a work truck for a long time so it now looks rough inside and out but still all in one piece. With so many miles I didnt think it would last long at all. The only problems were some issues with the heat but a previous owner rigged it his own way and had nooo idea what he was doing. The blower motor went out but it was cheap and easy to fix. I tend to neglect it and beat it up but like i said, its pretty tough. Starts up every time, which is a big deal when my work commute is 20miles one way. id recomend this to anyone!!"

"I remember shopping for this truck with my dad when I was 9 or ten years old ... 12 years later it became mine. He took great care of it - maintenance + body. I've had it for a few years, driven long distances with it, and although I've had to replace several parts, overall this truck is a great, reliable vehicle. It definately does not feel 16 yrs old!! Up to 147,000 miles and it gets a solid 30mpg highway still. Good acceleration and towing capacity. I've moved halfway across the country with a trailer hitched & my dad used to use it with his boats ... Since I've owned the Sonoma, I've replaced the muffler train, starter, heater core and brakes. some rusting, my fault. My ex got in an accident with it so the grill is broken in but nothing else was damaged. Every so often I have to add coolant so I know it's leaking ... Been through a lot with this truck, but I love it. Great vehicle for an independent woman!"

"These things are factory corvette killers! AWD 4.3 V6 Turbo that holds its value. worth more than 90% of other cars its age and in almost any condition. this thing is fast! they will out accelerate a Dodge Viper, Chevy corvette and Lamborghini Diablo of the same year series. 0-60 in 4.3 seconds. 13.4 1/4 mile."

"i got it about 6 months ago, put into about 1500 and turn it into a great! truck. change the seats to power seats from a blazer, new carpet, new wheels and new rear end from 3.42 to 3.73 best thing ever done to it! pushes more foot lbs at the wheels from 230lbs to 300lbs+ no need of down shifting any more, programed the Speed controler to a 3.73 rear end ratio...and its take anything down like there is no tomorrow, it also improve the hwy miles and city...i used it hard, and it takes it like nothing...best truck ever gotten into my hands, its paying back all i had pay for it, it likes to earn money...bad stuff only the looks other then that, must have it, it beats alot of other trucks like its sizes,,,in all power, and performance specially now in gas prices having a 4.3L TBI. runs and pick ups speed to pass anybody in second, watch out with the hills! what hills? if you looking for a small truck, its is one you must drive, and feel it with a new rear end of 3.73 ratio...will love it, i am sure of it!"
