Pros: "Well made product that lasts if you maintain it."

Cons: "BLIND SPOTS!!!"

"I have found this truck to cause "near incidents" on several times as the tires are so high and the "safety structure" of the window brackets are as large as 15 inches on each side. The height of the vehicle made me almost back into another because it was close and did not register in the mirrors. Another chronic problem of GMC Trucks is with the fuel pump/gauge being located between the bed and the gas tank in the middle of the vehicles. You have to pull the bed from the truck to access it!. Otherwise, it is a good vehicle that I will probably continue to buy and drive."

"This truck has been everything and more than I expected. I moved down to a 1500 size from a 2500 and have not missed the old suspension. The smooth ride accompanying a very strong suspension has allowed me to have the best of both worlds. The 6.0 has plenty of power and I love the way it drives. To me this is the prettiest truck ever made. I will definitely stay with GMC or Chevrolet on the next one, but giving this one up will be hard."

2002 GMC Sierra beautifil!

"I bought this new in 2002, the yellow stepside. It has been a very reliable truck, and still going strong. Never fails to start, even in winter. Kept up on all maintenance, and any sign of rust has only been in the door bottoms and fixed promptly. Still shines like new after washing. This trucks only flaw, is that it does not "turn on a dime" so to say. This truck is still in excellent condition. It has been well taken care of."

Pros: "Styling, interior, power"

Cons: "everyone would love more MPG's"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"I have owned this vehicle for 2 yrs and just paid it off. Outside of the battery going bad it's been a reliable vehicle. About 15 or 16 MPG maintenance is not expensive and has a pretty powerful 5.3L engine that pulls my trailer with my Harley Davidson no problem. It's 2002, but people still come and tell like the styling of the truck and I have offers to sell. It's held it's value pretty good. Overall I am very happy with this GMC product, definitely head and shoulders above my previous truck which was a Ford Ranger."

Pros: "Easy to drive and comfortable."

Cons: "The paint is peeling off the flatbed box."

"My pickup has a flat bed rather than the usual box. It has a 5th wheel hookup as well. The color is grayish tan. I would keep it but no longer need a pu."
