Pros: "reliable, comfy truck"

Cons: "nothing to dislike."

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"I purchased this truck new. I have always owned Fords but decided to try GMC. Glad I did! Better build quality. Better ride. Better handling. Better fuel mileage. I replaced the factory air filter with a K&N and now get 22mpg on the highway. I run Mobil Synthetic oil and it makes a difference. 183000 trouble free miles. Just general maintenance and brakes. Oil change every 5000 miles. Still runs great. I tow my tractor with bush hog and a cattle trailer with up to 10 cows at a time in it no problem."

Pros: "Runs great, reliable, smooth and comfortable ride."

Cons: "Rust issue over the rear wheel wells."

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 9

"I have owned this truck since 2002. Overall, very reliable thru the years and still runs great. My only beef is with the rust issue with GMC and Chevy trucks of this era. 99% of the trucks I see have the rust problem over the rear wheel wells and along the running boards under the doors."

Pros: "Comfort, power, Allison tranny, economy."

Cons: "None"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 9

"I bought this truck new in 2003 - use it mainly to pull a 32'RV. Approx. 91k mostly road miles. Dealer replaced all injectors early on - warranty. I have only replaced batteries, tires, both window regulators ( a snap to do yourself ) and regular service. I added an Edge Attitude for increased towing performance - handles my RV just fine. Ride is superior to other makes of that year. Very comfy on trips, sound system is great too. Can break the 20mpg barrier running solo all the time. Been a good truck. Allison tranny is a definite plus."

Camping on the North Carolina outer banks

"I bought the truck in 2009 with 34,000 mi. on it and have the service records from original delivery. I have used it mainly for camping with a Lance slide-in camper. It was manufactured with a bad rear axle bearing so GM replaced all 4 bearings and seals. Other than that it has just been routine. I just had 4 Bilstien shocks installed. It drives like a dream. Loaded it gives about 12 mpg."

"I am a woman who wanted a truck ,so my husband brought me a used one cause he didn't think I would like it well that was in 08....my 2004 Sierra 4x4 is getting close to 300,000 miles now ! With No problems what so ever,..only thing we have done is put brakes on it from time to time and a few set of tires (lol) .. It is the best ever ! Runs like the day I got it ..I LOVE MY TRUCK ! I live in the country so it's 4x4 power is put to the test at times get us to the highway. Hauling stuff and pulling a trailer with it Can't be beat. It has more bells & whistles than you can count... it's Just a Great truck all the way around. So glad I Brought it, better than my husbands Ford truck any day of the week in riding & driving ! . When time comes and I do have to get another truck it will be a GMC truck it has proven to me they are build to Last. My grandson said he wants this one..But I'm just not ready to let it go yet !"

Pros: "Ride, durability, looks"

Cons: "Axle seals and instrument cluster issues"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"Bought new in fall of 2004. Great ride and durability. Only complaint would be the front axle seals had to be replaced several times because of a burr that cut through the seals. Otherwise, will probably be life-long truck for me and I am only 52."
