"We owned a Ford 15 passenger prior to trading for our GMC. We went for the Savana because I did my homework and talked directly to a gentleman in charge of roll-over testing and the GMC came highly recommended by him. With our large family we have to have a van of this size. We felt we were living the life of luxury when we first stepped into the GMC. We are at the point now with our van now 7 years old that we would like to trade it in. We have no doubt that we will be looking for EXACTLY what we have now only newer. It will not let you down!! The only reason I give it a 4 stars in the quality department is due to the fact that some of the plastic pieces (ie. seatbelt guides) have broken."
"We bought this Van in January 2001 for $17,000 with about 25,000 - a deal! Now it has 136,000 and still runs strong. We have had it in Europe for 5 years and drove throughout, Germany, Poland, the Czech Republic and the Alsace region of France. While there, it underwent vehicle inspections that would make California's appear negligent. I've maintained the vehicle well throughout ownership. It's only been over the past 8 years that some major items needed replacement. I've had some front suspension work done as well as replacing the Shocks, Water Pump; Fuel Pump; Fuel Injectors and intake manifold gaskets. I think we've had a very good value with this van."
"This van is company-owned but I have been driving it since 12,??? miles; it NOW has 319,491 miles on it & the 4.3L V-6 still runs like a Swiss watch! The rest of the moving parts are following right along. Still getting 17-21mpg with it,too. The company also has 2 other vans of this genre- one has 567,000 miles on it; the other has 754,000! I'll never buy anything else!"
"Purchased new in 2002. V6 with solid power. Used daily for deliveries. Engine and transmission still strong at 166000 miles. Preventive maintenance is key. New starter at 89000 miles. New fuel pump at 96000 miles(van runs nonstop all day) Great air conditioner. Tons of cargo space. Two Thumbs Up!"
