I own this car - My approximate mileage is 146,000
overall rating 6 of 10rating detailsPros: "Lots of room for storage and plenty of leg room"
Cons: "Gas mileage and transmission"
Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 7
"I've had my truck for about 2 years now and have had to put two transmissions and a new radiator in it. Don't get me wrong I'm not rough on my vehicles and I'm a ASE Certified mechanic and knew what to expect. They come standard with a 4L60-E transmission which is just like the 700R. If you do any research on this you will find out that the reverse sun shell is the weakest link. All i have to say is do your research on the vehicles before you buy them. I only bought it because of the four wheel drive and the towing package."

I own this car - My approximate mileage is 115,000
overall rating 6 of 10rating detailsPros: "Comfortable, great in snow, good engine"
Cons: "wimpy"
Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 8
"My brother bought this truck when he wrecked his pickup. He wanted a 4x4 and this was right in his price range, about $6000. He has had to put some money into it, stuff that wears out like brakes, ball joints and he replaced the air intake system. It is a comfortable vehicle to ride in and drive. My only problem is it is a bit on the wimpy side. 200 HP just is not enough, but it still cruises along the highway 70-75 just fine. It's a tank in the snow too. He chose this because we have both known people with vehicles with the GM 4.3 V6 that had 200,000 or more miles and it still ran great. He wanted something he could keep for a few years and not worry about the engine going."

I own this car - My approximate mileage is 145,000
overall rating 8 of 10rating detailsPros: "good in snow and on ice, roomy for small SUV"
Cons: "heavy doors cause pins to break=repair"
Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 9
"Good reliable vehicle for price I paid. I have always owned SUV's and this one probably is just as good if not better than the 97 Jimmy I owed. Normal minor problems I've had are the fuel pump going out(both vehicles 97 and 01) and the weight of the doors causing the pins to break (easy cheap repair if caught before damage to the latch on the frame of the body. Smaller SUV good manuvering, not as smooth as a car but pretty much drives like one. Great in snowy conditions and pretty maintainable in icy areas. Gas mileage isn't bad. I would recommend this vehicle to anyone who was considering purchasing."
