"I brought my Acadia in April 2007, and had nothing but trouble with it. The dash board has a tendency to go out when going through a tunnel or the high beam lights will come on. This problem really didn't concern me too much. The rear hatch randomly will close half way, than return to the open position. It will not open up at all sometimes or just bounce up and down. The transmission is horrible. It is slugglish on acceleration and begins to jerk when reaching higher speeds. The seating isn't comfortable for long trips, especially if you are in the plus size. There is very little leg room in the third row. I averaged about 16.5 mph, mostly highway. If you use the cruise control, you can obtain better mileage. When this vehicle is operational, it is wonderful. You actually don't realize that you are driving. It's more like you are gliding on air."

"I am very pleased with everything except the fuel milage and shifting. I am currently getting 10mpg in town and 16 to 18mpg on trips of over 200 mile in relatively level terrain. The low-in torque is very poor until you reach 3000rpm and the transmission seems to not work well in the mountains. I feel that the sticker stating the fuel mileage is misleading and that a vehicle set on cruise at the speed limit for long distance driving should do better!"

"the acadia rides good but not great.the trans.shifts from 1st to 6th before 40mph causing lugging on engine and constant shifting. At 75 plus there is a roaring from drivetrain.I think it gets poor fuel economy. It is roomy for passengers and cargo but seats are less than comfortable on long trips.mine has 3400 miles on it and I am thinking about selling it."
