"We owned our 2008 Acadia SLT AWD from 2008 to nearly 2011, and put 48,000 miles on it. We loved the looks and options the Acadia offered, and it handled well in any conditions with the AWD option. Unfortunately, GM's engineers fell short on the reliability end. The battery died without reason when it was less than two years old. This vehicle also had multiple leaks in the sunroof and area around the wipers that the dealership was unable to fix. This led to water seeping into electronic areas, causing costly repairs. The transmission was horrible, and the steering felt shaky and on the brink of failure from day one. From the GM folks, we got nothing but a shrug of the shoulders and expensive temporary fixes on these problems. After buying nothing but GM products (12 in total) througout our marriage, we traded the Acadia for the Honda Odyssey due to its excellent reputation for quality. The Acadia is pretty, but a true pain in the rear to own. What a dissapointment."
