Pros: "Great milage, handles great, 5 spd fun to drive"

Cons: "none"

"Bought10 yrs ago from son, who bought new. It is a great truck, 4.3 with manual 5 spd. Only major problems has been 3 clutches and 1 tranny. Orig. engine, does not smoke or leak oil. My wife wants me to get a new truck, but as long as this one gives me the great service, it's a keeper."

"I have 410,000 hard miles I don't give this truck a break loaded all the time and pulling 16' trailers and it refuses to quit. I don't think there can be another truck that can take that much and still keeps going. I am a self employed welder/fabricator so I am all over the place. I did rebuild the transmission back around 230,000 cause I pulled my trailer in over drive. And other than the normal problems it seems a lot of people have just minor stuff simply unbelievable truck."

Pros: "Drives great, Has LOTS of power! Very comfortable"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 7

"It is great to get around in, especially in town or busy traffic. Very comfortable...Air works better than any new vehicle I've been in. I bought this truck with 27,000 miles on it, I've put 103,000 miles on it, very fun to drive! I suppose some day I'll have to trade this truck in, but not for a very long time! That will be a very sad day!"

Pros: "Durable truck, fun driver, easy fixes & economic"

Cons: "Bleached paint, flimsy interior, weak tranny"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 8

"Purchased second hand for my kids to use in high school but has been used for their college years. It had a few dings and dents and has sustained a few more over the years. Having owned GM trucks and Suburbans previously, this machine is extremely simple and cheap to maintain and repair in comparison. It's still running strong with the original V6. The only major repair has been the tranny. The only issue I wished they had considered was building the interior trim and dash to be a bit more durable. With its' age, I fear working on anything as it's become so brittle it easily breaks and snaps at the anchoring points."
