"Other than the rear axle and sub frame recalls, our Windstar has provided years of reliable transportation.230,000 miles and I would believe it could make it to 300,000. My wife is finding it difficult to part with our Windstar. The little things like the small mirror to see the rear passengers, power adjustable accelerator / brake peddle, compartment space, adjustable rear bench seat for more cargo. The uses of towing, moving our three children in /out of college and traveling made us fall in love with this vehicle. My wife test drove other manufactures Vans, Suv's, Crossover's but still compared the Windstar's ride and the mentioned "little things" the others didn't have. We previously owned two Ford Areostars Vans. Both driven over 210,000 miles. Ford should forget about the self parking cars and bring back the simple "Like's" owners write about."
Cons: "back speakers turn off when sliding door opens"

"For the past 17 years the Ford Windstar has been the perfect vehicle for our busy family. The only thing I would have changed is the placement of sound system speakers in the sliding doors. It has been dependable over the years with many long distance trips for sporting events, family vacations, and business trips. If Ford still made the minivan, I would purchase another.
Well made, built tough, with great design in comfort, extended space behind the back seat is perfect for tools, luggage, or football helmets and pads."
"This van has been incredible for us. The only original part we have repaired is the air conditioning system at 140,000 miles. At this point, we have the original fuel pump, original transmission and have only done maintenance as required. It has successfully hauled three children to college and back, numerous soccer and gymnastic meets and we will be so sad to have to put it to rest one day. It is still going strong!"
