"Very pleased with comfort and driveability. Mileage could be better on hiway (and city) driving. Only breakdown has been electric motor for right side windows."

Loved this vehicle since I bought it new!

I own this car - My approximate mileage is 150,000

Pros: "Good value, great looks, roomy, reliable."

Cons: "Hatchback storage is limited, seats hard to remove"

"I have had my Windstar SEL for 12 years when I purchased it. It's been our 'adventure bus' all this time, taking us everywhere we wanted to go safely. There are so many memories of my 3 kids and their friends associated with my mini-van. The SEL model has afforded me comfort and a quality interior. Most of the maintenance on the vehicle has been normal wear-and-tear: tires, brakes, oil changes, tune-ups, etc. It's definitely been a valuable vehicle for us. The only complaints I have are that the trunk/hatchback isn't roomy enough (I wish it had deep storage), and the bench seat is too hard to remove. I'd love if it collapsed into the floor like other minivans. Over the years my outside temp sensor has died, and the motors on my rear windows don't usually work. But I still love my vehicle and hope it lasts a couple more years until my kids are grown!"

Best of the two Ford Mini vans that I have owned

Got us thru typical family growth years

Pros: "Durable, comfortable interior, great sight lines"

Cons: "Heavier vehicle prob drove gas mileage down"

"Beloved family van - drove long distances thru many winter storms and summer heat with no mechanical problems. Reliable & consistently our 'go to' vehicle for summer & winter vacations and moving kids in/out college with their stuff. Tough to part with but no longer need in family. You knew what you had with this vehicle - drives like a larger vehicle with great interior amenities."

"we have had this car for almost 10 years, we have had no major problems all we had to do was replace the alternator, it has a scratched passenger rear sliding door but that's all, the paint looks good for the most pars no fading or anything like that,"

Solid reliable vehicle with electrical problems

Cons: "Electrical sensors are quirky and the first to go."

"This van has with stood hard use and operation with basic maintenance. Brakes are solid and engine has kept it's power. Drives well. The electrical sensors are inconsistent. Door locks will sometimes activate off and on when driving. Overall it has been comfortable and reliable in all weather."
