"Fun 2nd car. Golf clubs fit in trunk. Just the right size. 22+ mpg. Head turner at gas pumps. Sold MB 560SL for this car. Right move!!"

The most fun car I've ever had.

"The color is just like the original vintage blue. It turns many heads and gets a "thumbs up" always."

Pros: "Looks, handling, dependability, durability"

Cons: "CD/manual poor, convertible latch takes practice"

"The very first time I saw one of these cars, it was parked on the outdoor patio/showroom steps of a major Ford dealership here in Sacramento. It was sitting at a jaunty angle, beckoning, and I was smitten! I remember asking my husband "what was THAT?!" (He was driving, I was passenger so we had to make "U" to take a closer look. Well, we learned what it was and then I needed to drive it to see if it handled like it looked. (I remember years ago being in love with Jaguar sedans until I drove a few.... gorgeous cars but built for autobahns and cruising more than the around town trips with peppy, responsive handling that won me over completely with this wonderful little Thunderbird. I'm still in love with this 11 year old treasure and still get stopped and asked about it and chatted with by admiring strangers. I'm 67 years old and don't see any changes in my lifetime.... unless someone gives me a 1957 Porsche Speedster! But I'm flexible and I've got room in my driveway for more than one vehicle!"

Taken on Clearwater Beach, FL

"This vehicle has everything a performance car and comfort you can ask for. The visibility is excellent with the top down and the headrests taken off the seats for a true "ragtop" experience. I use this car as my beach cruiser, and have taken it on multiple coastal road trips, driving under a warm summer's night or on a hot summer's day the top is rarely down! This car MOVES! Very throaty sounding twin exhausts on takeoff then super quiet while cruising... silky smooth V8 22 mpg city 28 hwy. enough trunk space for flat storage, groceries, beach chair, golf clubs, ...it is a two seater with a back deck. This is a convertible that you can actually sit comfortably in and rest your arm on the door... fit and finish is tight, steering is quick, ...great factory sound.. a head turner.. mine is a 2005 50th anniversary fire engine red/black and chrome.. I plan on custom painting it to Guitarist Eddie Van Halen's signature stripes in that color scheme... many aftermarket goodies to dress the bird up.."

"I bought this car the first day you were aloud to buy it. The price was unknown and the options were in s hand written list. This was the first one in town. I got the car 7 months later. I will keep this car till I die and pass it to my kids. I drive it a couple days a month."

Cons: "Arm rests need to be softer for longer trips."

"I bought a black hardtop/convertible in 2013 and replaced the stereo with a JVC system with integrated phone, Sirius, and bluetooth. also installed a hidden radar detection system from Whistler. Then I added some chrome trim and custom 22" black wheels and Nitto low profile tires. Added "ghost" flames in a pale silver-blue and painted the calipers to match the Thunderbird insignia on the front of the car. Under the hood I installed a cold air intake, nice "growly" exhaust, and an FS3 chip from VOLO to lean out the fuel (they came rich from the factory)and increase mileage. It didn't hurt that it topped 300hp either!"
