I own this car - My approximate mileage is 150,000

Pros: "GREAT ANGINE AND TRANSMISSION"

Cons: "MIDDLE PASSENGER ON FRONT BENCH SEAT NEVER CONFY"

"NEVER THOUGHT I WOULD OWN A FORD, THIS CAME TO ME AT A DEAL I COULDNT PASS UP. SO GLAD I DIDNT. ITS BEEN A GREAT TRUCK. DRIVEN OUT TO TEXAS NON STOP FOR 16 HOURS STRAIGHT AND IT TOOK IT LIKE A CHAMP. AT 150,000 MILES I BLEW A HEAD GASKET WHILE LOADED AND TRAVELING THRU OREGON. THE LITTLE GREAT TRUCK WAS ABLE TO MAKE IT ALL THE WAY BACK HOME ON ITS OWN. ITS PERFECT FOR WHAT IT WAS MADE FOR WORK!!!. LOOKS GREAT, RIDES LIKE ANY OTHER TRUCK, JUST MY DRIVER SEAT CAME PRETTY FLAT, NOT SURE IF THATS COMMON OR JUST HAD SOMEONE REAL LAZY AND REAL HEAVY SIT IN IT. PASSENGER SEAT IS GREAT. GREAT GAS MILAGE IF DRIVEN CONSERVATIVELY ON THE HWY."

I own this car - My approximate mileage is 165,000

Pros: "Cheap, solid frame and build, low gearing."

Cons: "Underpowered, no mid size cabin."

"I am writing this piece in adieu of a very faithful friend and companion. I bought this truck in early 2009 as I bought my first rental property. I have had to replace the clutch, the timing belt and only recently the brake lines. I still get 25 mpg when running speed limits on the highway. This 2.5L 8 spark plug motor registered under 10% of allowable particulates under Ohio pollution law. This solid fram truck was in three major accidents and required only one minor frame straightening. The 5 speed was a little urban jackrabbit, and when I needed to haul more payload, I upgraded the tires, springs and shocks and got a payload capacity greater than the older F-150. I remodeled three homes and carried so many loads of lumber. Its a shame I had to go buy a monster truck. The Tacoma has solid quality but a weak frame that can't take pounding, the Nissan has always been a toy, and the Ranger was discontinued. I would have loved a four door big six cylinder Ranger, and the lack of updating from Ford kept me from buying a recent used one. Instead I bought a Ram 1500 quad cab 4WD."

2nd Ranger I've owned

Pros: "Fun to drive, comfortable and very, very reliable."

Cons: "Synthetic oil, very pricey."

"I love this truck! It provides the function of a large size truck without the gas guzzline mileage issue. He has traveled across country from coast to coast 4 times and I have never had one significant issue. I did get talked into using synthetic oil the second time I traveled across country, and would not do that again. Oil changes are a LOT more expensive with synthetic oil. He's been a good truck and I'm not really sure that I am ready to get rid of him yet."

"My truck has been very reliable. Although it has very high mileage it keeps on running good. It has hauled everything with ease. It also has alot of get up and go and does really well on the interstate. It rides good and does great on my long out of state trips. This is the best truck Ive ever owned."
