"I purchased this car with 40k miles on it from the original owner. They were meticulous in their care of the car. I continued.
We love this car. It has been very reliable. Never been back to a dealer other then for oil changes. It is a blast to drive. Even with the V-6 / 6 speed. People get in and when I goose it they almost always say "That's a V-6!? Wow!" I looked at and drove the v-8 GT and while it was fun, I couldn't see the extra 25% price. One of the things we love is the 30-32 mpg we get on a trip. Mostly mid 20's mpg around town. Black with the pony package, 18" wheels, we get lots of compliments. It's my 305HP, 32mpg, sexy economy sports car."
Cons: "everything I included in my complete review"

"Purchased my 2008 V6 mustang used, immediately upon purchase the thermostat cap broke, then the catalytic converter went out (if you don't have a warranty this gets very expensive and no, ford doesn't care) several months later TWO alternators died and I had to have the car towed several times due to this, the wiring harness broke costing me another $300 and a towing fee, the car also died on me numerous times while driving (regardless whether I was stopped at a light or doing 65 mph on a highway) which in any circumstances is a terrifying ordeal because you have no power brakes, steering and practically any control over the car. Also the car would start itself, without the key in the ignition, throughout the day which became highly annoying. The security system would also go off randomly for no reason which would drain the battery quickly and coming out to a car that doesn't start after a long day of work is not enjoyable. The factory installed shaker 1000 radio would turn itself on and off while driving and in park it wouldn't even turn on due to "low Battery" even after having a brand new battery installed. In all this is a horrible purchase and I would never recommend anyone buying or even considering a mustang. The parts are over priced, continuous mechanical and electrical problems, and the inconvenience of it all."
"I waited until my kids were grown and gone and my life had settled to finally buy the Mustang I've been dreaming about since my youth. Since I commute nearly a hundred miles daily for work, I wanted the car to be not only good looking, fast, and great handling, but also as economical as possible. After researching, I decided on a standard Mustang V-6 with the Performance Package. I bought a Ruby Red V-6 with the Performance Package, six speed manual transmission, and the Electronics Package. I bought it at the end of Feb. 2014 and as of this morning have put 49,000 miles on it. It has been rock solid dependable, gets about 31 mpg on the intestate without the A/C on and about 28 mpg with the A/C blasting. It has never gotten less than 25 mpg on any tank since I've had it. It is quick and handles like a go cart. The only things I have done to it beside normal maintenance is replace the loud and hard riding Pirelli tires at 40,000 miles with a set of Yokohama All Season tires (excellent tire!) and upgraded the stock speakers with a set of Kenwood replacements. The only three complaints I have are the cup holders are in a totally ridiculous location on the console right behind the shifter, and when you move the seat backs to get something out of the back seat the seat backs do not return to their original position, and sometimes the SYNCH Bluetooth and I don't get along too well. Minor complaints for sure. Overall, I can't believe the quality, performance, economy and great looks on a car that I only paid $22,000 for. I'd buy another one again in a minute."
