"reliable as all get out, i had tranny problems but ford used the gt trans in the cobra and borgwarners t45 couldnt stand the torque, it failed at 110k, motor wise it was very strong and responded to basic bolt-ons very well, had enough power to beat almost everything on the street... has a very strong bottom and a so-so topend
interior styling was decent, smooth slick lines but still wasnt anything to be aweing over, ford shouldve gave it something to be different against other sn95 stangs besides the whiteface guages and the horn cover
exterior styling was absolutely the most beautiful mustang ever made, pure s-e-x on wheels
part availability, hard to find factory parts like at orielys and just because it is a cobra they overcharge on everything, but aftermarket performance parts are easy to find, the newish modular 4.6 is starting to become how the 5.0 used to be
they are losing value because of the popular 03-04 cobra and now the 07 shelby... people are starting to store these cars as collectors items so if you want one you better get it and hold on to it
exhaust, intake, and gears and you will be in the mid to low 13s in the 1/4 mile"
"Agree it could use one more cup holder. The older you get the less easy it is to exit and enter but fun to drive and very stylish looking. Good performance, reliable. I give it 5 stars and would recommend for a second car just for fun!"
"Mustang on steroids, handles like a racecar with the price of a family sedan, almost endless upgrades, smallblock cubic inches with bigblock power(knock your teeth through the back of your head kind of power).I have owned ten mustangs in 11 years of driving, and this is the MEANEST one of all."
"Bought the car with only 3 miles on it, she now has almost 145000. She still looks and runs great. (knock on wood) The only things that I have had to replace are headlights, and bulbs. Clutch could use a little bit of adjustment, but what do you expect at 145000 miles! Mach stereo is great and will never trade her in."
"50000 miles and going great, most reliable car i've ever owned. V6 is a complete dog, but i average 25mpg, so that's pretty good. decent in the winter body damage is ridiculous to repair (500 bucks for a rear bumper)"
"My Cobra has 142000 miles. Never a problem with the engine. Run strong and keeps running as long as I keep up with the maintenance. I've had it since 1997 and it hasnt disappointed. Replaced the usual, thermostat, radiator, but have no further problems or plans to replace it."
