"I owned this vehicle for about 2 years and I had SO MANY PROBLEMS. First of all I got the infamous head tick, then to add to that, the cylinder head only has 6 threads where as the spark plug has 8...so the spark plug shot out and damaged my cylinder head. $4,000 cost to get a new head right there. I started seeing brown rust on the vehicle and the paint chips off leaving BLACK MARKS. Not to mention, the interior is all plastic and the transmission is super noisy while driving. Very uncomfortable ride. What can you expect though, it is still a Mustang."
"A lot of bang for the buck. Very easily modified to get even more power (450 Rear Wheel HP is easily obtained with exhaust, Cold Air Intake, S/C pulley swap, plugs and tune). Looks good. Not very spacious or luxurious, but that's not what most people expect out of a sports car. Interior is definately dated, but it will do. No reliability issues. Overall, it's definately a keeper. Cheaper alternative to Corvette."
"I am a mustang enthusiast, and it saddens me to say how unimpressed I am with most 94-96 mustang models. They are poorly built, I had problems with the transmission from day one of purchasing it. The head gaskets are terrible, I had 2 different mustang motors put in and both the head gaskets blew. The car itself is a beautiful car and very comfortable, if you can put up with all the mechanical errors."
"I Love my car! The only problem is I will be starting college soon. I will be traveling daily to and from school and i can't afford the gas as a student. I really don't want to give up my car, but I think it is a must if I will be traveling to school."
"I special ordered this vehicle in June '01 and I have had to put absolutely no money into repairing this vehicle ever. I have had this vehicle for 6 1/2 years and I have enjoyed ever minute of it. I highly recommend it."
"Have owned this car for 6 years. Common issue with this vehicle under 36k are synchros going out in the trani...once fixed it drives strong from 1-2. Recommend upgrading shocks/springs for more comfortable ride and exhaust for better sound & HP (be warned, they get loud over 70 MPH). Great muscle car for the money and a collectors car in the near future...especially when the 09 Bullitt comes out."
"I have had the car for 5 years and the only work I had to do until recently was the brakes (to be expected). I absolutely love the vehicle and wouldn't trade it for anything!!! The only complaint I would have is that it handles horribly in the snow and rain. Other than that, it is definitely a good value for a hot-looking car! Even with a few dents in the side I still get compliments all the time!"
