HD Radio is now available, as are rain-sensing wipers, "MyKey" programmable vehicle key and two new equipment groups: Luxury and Comfort. Integrated blind-spot mirrors are now standard on Fusions not equipped with the Blind Spot Information System (BLIS).
Now in its fifth year as Ford's point player in the heavily-populated mid-size sedan segment, the Fusion receives a major makeover for 2010 aimed at raising its profile and competitive status against key rivals like the Chevrolet Malibu, Nissan Altima and Toyota Camry. Beyond formidable changes to the conventional lineup (Fusion S, SE, SEL and Sport, reviewed separately) the biggest news is the arrival of the first- ever Fusion Hybrid. Packing the latest and most potent gas/electric package in Ford's history, the 2010 Fusion Hybrid balances impressive performance with excellent creature comforts and mileage marks that simply blow hybrid versions of the Toyota Camry, Nissan Altima and Chevy Malibu into the weeds. It's a car destined to remain highly appealing regardless of where the price of gasoline ultimately ends up.

"I never thought I would buy a Ford but this vehicle has changed my mind. I would definetly suggest this car to others. I got the fully loaded one which includes back up camera, rear sensing, blind spot sensing, leather, sync, sun roof, and i got an upgrade on the sound system. I have been driving my car for sometime now and have put over a thousand miles and it just feels great. Ford has finally put out some great cars! I have been averaging about 28.5 mpg and I have a lead foot."

I own this car - My approximate mileage is 8,500
overall rating 5 of 5rating detailsPros: "Comfort, mileage, good looks"
Cons: "Steering on the soft side, trunk on the Hybrid small for the car size"
Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 9
"I purchased the 2010 Hybrid at a good discount because it was the last one on the lot, and have been driving it about 6 months. I love this car -- something I could never say about the Honda Civic I drove for 14 years. The seats are comfortable, the ride smooth and quiet and the mileage on the Hybrid much better than I could have hoped for. (I am averaging 43 mpg right now in the summer -- in the dead of winter it is about 33-35 mpg.) The Hybrid model came with all the bells and whistles on the dash, and I love having Bluetooth with voice control and the ability to play my phone's MP3 player in addition to the songs on my old Nano. I find driving it a pleasure -- very relaxing. Sure, it is not the car I'd like to taking zipping around picturesque curvy roads in the mountains -- but how often do I do that? This is my commuting car, and it is what I chill out in on the way home from work. I can't speak much to quality and maintenance since I haven't had the car long, but so far it has needed less repairs than my Honda did at this stage. The only reason I marked Value as 4 is I didn't buy this car at first because the Hybrid was so expensive -- it was only after I got the discount I took the plunge, and I am very happy I did!"
