Cons: "FORD STOPPED MAKING 2 door vehicles, esp this one!"

"I purchased new, & today 4/15/2015, it has 96,000 mls on it & still, RUNS SOUND. Got me through years & a lot of snowy storm miles, No rattles, no oil leaks, no engine problems. KEY: REGULAR MAINTENANCE & OIL CHANGES & DON'T BEAT YOUR CARS. I would have bought another one, for a 2nd family car, but they stopped making 2 door hatch like this, so I opted to rebuy the ranger truck, and they stopped making that as well! SORRY FORD, but I had to move onto someone else for a 2nd family vehicle! My advice, get back to making the 2 best vehicles you ever produced & I'll come back."
Pros: "great price, fun to drive, compact, easy to fix"
Cons: "poor interior design, no power, no torque"

"This car gets excellent gas mileage and never quits. However it is extremely basic, and a little confined - it feels that the design of the console was an afterthought and drinks often topple out of the cup holders under the pedals while I drive.
It is an excellent and dependable little car if you are a first time buyer or on a tight budget like I was. I bought it used in 2013 so it was already over a 100,000 miles.
I will say it is a lot more fun to drive than most four cylinders, but just don't expect to get anywhere fast if your driving up a large hill."
Cons: "cheap interior plastics, unconfortable front seats"

"Purchased this car at a dealer in Canada two years ago for 5500 with 100,000kms on the odometer. Since then I've had to replace the battery, front brake pads and rotors, and the tires.
I really hated this car due to the road noise and rattles. I actually resorted to wearing ear plugs!
Recently I sprayed rubberized undercarriage spray under the car and under the hood. So far it's helped tremendously in regards to the road noise! This thing is soooo much quieter than before.
These cars have a silly design where they placed the alternator at the BACK of the engine, directly above the exhaust manifold. As a result it places a huge strain on the electrics and will result in premature alternator and battery failure."
"I bought the Focus with just over 100,000 miles and put another 80K on it over 7 years. It's reliable and fun to drive, with fuel economy in the mid 20's. On the downside, I had to replace three window regulators, and the gel motor mount went out about every other year. On cold days, it vibrated horribly. I replaced the valve cover gasket because of oil leaks at about 125,000, and it already needs a new one. We've had numerous nuisance repairs, but the engine and tranny are solid. The front suspension just rusted through. That may be the end of her. I'd buy another one, though."
