Pros: "easy car to own"

Cons: "Power, luxury, resale value, not a get laid car"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"this thing takes a licking and keeps on ticking! Every day I drive this car is a day I see $$$ float toward my wallet. It is REALLY easy to own, maintain, and drive. I am a total novice when it comes to vehicle maintenance, but I've done so much DIY work to replace and repair parts and systems thanks to an extensive YouTube library I feel like a pro. I keep the oil changed, tires solid, and fluids full and see no reason I can't get 200,000k out of the old girl. She's capable, reliable, and easy to repair. Great first car, great learning car, price is good........even on a brand new one!"

Pros: "Best car for the price point"

Cons: "Rattles your teeth out on rough roads"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"A great economy car for the money. My wife bought a 2006 new. It has been a great car 420000 miles as of today. We have had all recommended service done to this car. It broke down today, alternator went bad. The first time it left us stranded. Not to shabby. This is what I have found bad about the Focus, if you are looking for a luxury riding Focus forget it, not very comfortable on long trips. Flimsy front bumper, what can I say. all cars are this way. Arm rest keeps breaking. Other than PM we have had the valve cover gasket replaced, control arms on the rear replaced twice, alignment issues. PM involves coolant flush, oil changes, plug changes, trans flush. The 2.0 lt engine has been trouble free, trans the same way. Suspension a little noise, rattles, squeaks but, it has 420000 miles. We are looking to buy a new one."

Pros: "Great mileage with the 5 speed tranny"

Cons: "Too numerous to list here!"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 1

"What can I say? Went to a car dealer to buy a used PT Cruiser, and drove the Focus home as we got a better deal with lower payments on a new vehicle. 1. problems with the alarm system...finally just disconnected it. 2. Substandard ignition...got stuck 50 miles away from home with a car that wouldn't start. Cost over $500 for a new one. Went on the Internet and saw many, many people with the same problem. Should have been a no charge recall issue. 3. Can't begin to list the various repairs...new head gaskets...rebuilt tranny...valve job...etc."

"Great gas mileage both intown and highway. Great cargo space. Good driving - starts in cold weather (below 0 degrees), good pickup and comfortable long-range riding. Why did Ford stop making this model?"

"Loved this car, and I'd be buying my third one if they still made the wagon. Perfect size for one or two people. Ford, you broke my heart."
