Pros: "Family car, safe, great price, saves gas"

Cons: "Loud engine noise(cancelled by a can of foam-seal)"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"Perfect gas saver when you put a cold-air-intake and some under-body shielding. I average 28 MPG, but remember my vehicle is not "stock." With $70 you can buy a great air-filter, and some thin steel. A few screws, and a few clamps later...28MPG Average! I've upgraded the stereo and cd player, as I couldn't play my other devices through the factory unit. Otherwise a great car!"

"Has been an excellent car. Very low expense. Oil chg every 5,000 miles, tires and finally did a brake job at 130,000 miles, a tune-up at 150,000 miles and new struts at 160,000 miles. Great paint Great gas mileage"

Pros: "Good price, good value, safe and good in snow."

Cons: "Rather bland styling."

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 8

"Found this car with 32,000 miles on it. I had to replace 1 rear wheel bearing and put on new tires, but basically that's all it has needed. Extremely reliable, good power, great ride, and very comfortable. Very quiet on the road and the 3.0L motor delivers good power as well as decent fuel economy - 28 MPG on trips, 21 around town. Stylistically it is not the most beautiful car, but functionally it is great."

Pros: "Safe, roomy, good gas mileage"

Cons: "doesn't make it anymore"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"I have put over 265000 miles on my car and it still runs great. It is the best driving car I have ever had. I have had very few repairs. The engine and transmission still run like new. It is very roomy and gets fairly good gas mileage. I feel very safe in the car. I wish they still made the five hundred because I definitely would buy another one. I can't say enough good stuff about the car. I hope to get at least another 200000 miles out of it."

Pros: "Rides higher than most cars, roomy interior."

Cons: "Discontinued model, parts might be hard to find"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"I've owned a Ford Five Hundred for eleven years and would recommend it to anybody. It is comfortable and rides a bit higher than most cars, making it easier to get in and out of. It has a very roomy back seat and trunk. It has held up well, but has needed repairs to brakes and a minor problem with a power steering fluid leak. I recommend the AWD model for areas that get snow - it has handled very well in Colorado even with several inches of snow on the ground."
