The F-150 is a big truck. If you just need a truck for light-duty jobs, a smaller mid-size will probably be less expensive and easier to maneuver and park.
Despite its impressive payload and towing ability, the 2013 Ford F-150 doesn't ride like a stiffly-sprung work truck. In fact, it rides more like a plush Lincoln SUV. Every version of the F-150 we tested was devoid of a rough ride, with no shudder or hopping over rough or unpaved roads and a level of quiet unheard of (no pun intended) in a full-size pickup. "This truck is great. Smooth riding (I drove from WI to NC and FL and was never uncomfortable). The 5.0 has plenty of power and great sound especially with an exhaust. I put a K&N cold air intake and a MBRP catback singleside exhaust and it has a pure "throaty" sound. Overall this truck is great and will definitely get another one when I'm ready, unless Chevy, GMC, or Dodge comes out with something mind-blowing."

"GREAT VEHICLE AT BEGINNING, MPG DROPPED TO 16.5 ON ROAD WENT TO SERVICE AND HAD A RECALL ON TURBO COOLER AND INTAKE, DID RECALL NOW I GET 16.5 MPG. I HEAR A NUMBER OF PEOPLE HAVE SAME PROBLEM. EVERYTHING ELSE IS GREAT."
