I own this car - My approximate mileage is 93,600
overall rating 5 of 10rating detailsPros: "affordable price, lot of power, reliable"
Cons: "gas guzzler, uncomfortable"
Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 4
"This thing guzzles gas like nobody's bussiness. It is beyond ridiculous, takes $100 to fill up, and usually doesn't make it without being on E until payday. This vehichle is very reliable, and has a very tough steel body. Overall it is a decent vehicle, I enjoy it, just the gas issue and it tends to be an uncomfortable ride. As far as driving goes, it has a lot of power, but you feel every little bump in the road and it can be uncomfortable. I personally think the design of the vehicle is good, nothing special, but overall it looks good."

"I bought this truck new and have maintained it with documents. No real problems, just maintained to Ford specs. This is one of the best things I have bought in years, intend to keep it till it quits, then a new driveline."

I own this car - My approximate mileage is 130,000
overall rating 9 of 10rating detailsPros: "durable, strong, cheap to work on"
Cons: "its 30 years old, it needs work"
Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 9
"this is the best truck i have ever owned. Even though its so old i will not get rid of it for anything new or flashy, im a country boy and this is all i need for work and it gets me back and fourth to town. its easy to work on and its cheap. its the most durable truck ever, i have an '86 and the shock are origanal and still good, all ihave done so far is put on new belts and hoses and a new master cylender and a radiator flush, all under $150. i highly reccomend this truck to anyone who needs to get work done, you dont need anything flashy."

I own this car - My approximate mileage is 184,000
overall rating 6 of 10rating detailsPros: "Good solid work truck, doesn't use oil,a/c works,"
Cons: "needs some work on the extras"
Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 7
"Needs starter, needs 1 tire and uses 60 series tires. needs windshield wipers, needs bed painted and paint comes with it. Bed needs some body work and is fiberglass. Bed has bed sanded and primered and has spray in bed liner. Has power windows but needs new master switch. Switch can be shorted or jumped on the drivers side and makes windows work. Alarm has been removed but is in the truck if someone wants to replace it."

I own this car - My approximate mileage is 135,000
overall rating 3 of 10rating detailsLikely to recommend this car? (1-10): 2
"Earlier in its life this truck was great for long highway trips hauling modest loads. The V8 has plenty of get-up and go. This truck ages badly. The cloth interior has shredded, the step is fiberglass so any tire problems will damage it. The cup holders are too shallow to do anything but topple a beverage onto the dash. It cannot handle larger tires. The wear on the running gear is extreme. On good notes, the engine is still good at 135000, as it should be. The cruise still works. The clutch however is gone, the interior is trashed and the windows only work every second Sunday. This truck is like a crossover. Its not really good at being a truck (no 4WD, light suspension, high gear ratio, etc.) and its definitely not a car (low mpg, long as a limo, whistling back window...). If you want a truck, get a real truck that can haul things and get out of mud. If you want a highway vehicle with beef get a SUV that will get 25-30 mpg. This is an enduro, not fit for highway or dirt."
