"Under warranty some of the right manifold bolts broke 42,000 miles. Now its back and the left side is apparently getting close
Right side replacement is about $800-$1000 Both exhaust manifold fixes - about $1300
Service manager locally said Ford "aware" of problem but no offers to fix after warranty."
"Own the truck for 9 years now. It has been great to us. Some minor issues such as electrical windows and air condition but overall great. Cannot ask more with over 150k miles. Besides the normal brakes, tires and maintenance, only thing I had to do was fix the electrical window switches and had an issue in the air condition compressor. Plan on driving it until it dies....Looking to get over 200k out of it."
"I purchased this truck new in 2008 the economy was in the toilet and ford was practically giving them away I think after taxes i got a standard truck for $11,500 which was a steal. Only major problem I had was at 121,000 miles the transmission went out unexpectedly and yes I take care of my vehicles. Besides that I've never had any other mechanical issues at all not even a check engine light! Knock on wood bottom line if I had to do it again yes I would by another ford. Hopefully they will get smart and offer a small fuel efficient diesel in the F150 soon."
