"Bought it used and have driven it through gumbo and snow for over 14 years and she has never failed me. Had to replace tyranny, but 270,000 miles on original engine and she still purrs along as pretty as can be. While I like the 5 speed when driving in gumbo, snow and ice, I am getting to the point where having to shift isn't as much fun as it used to be. Since I have retired, don't need two 4x4's (hubby has a 2015 he lets me drive ), plus a 30 + mpg car, thinking about selling "Candy". Breaks my heart."
Cons: "Fuel Economy, Dosen't fit into small parking space"

"This truck is a very reliable work hprse. I have had a 5th wheel in it and moved mobile homes with it with only a 4.9 6cyl in it. Very Powerful Transmission with good torque. There's a reason that there's more 92-96 Fords on the the road than 92-96 Chevrolets, Dodges, and GMCs. It's great for out on the farm I work at. Even with 2wd I've only gotten stuck once and that was in a flash flood- and I take this truck mudding. I highly reccommend this truck to anyone looking for a sturdy, strong piece of American culture. If you have a family, I reccommend a 4 door unlike my regular cab."
Cons: "Have to leave the key on till the windows are up"

"Bought this truck 2 years ago from the original owner. 2nd one I've owned. Properly maintained these trucks are extremely reliable and a 19 year old truck in pristine condition is more of a show stopper than a brand new one. and this truck left the whole depreciation game behind a long time ago ! I noticed that kelley blue book put it's value at about 2700.00 but seriously, you couldn't touch this one for under 5000.00. Very solid trucks overall though - 19 years and 140,000 miles with no major issues speaks for itself."
"i have had this truck since it was brand new and i put my trucks thorugh everything im not to gentle and to my surprise this truck has had no problem just normal matenice has been needed. i used to have a chevy one ton but i sold because all it did was suck gas and this f150 did what that stupied chevy did and more with half the gas"
"This truck was bought brand new in 1993 and is still running well. Original transmission with no work done to it besides fluid/filter changes - 5 over 22 years. Admittedly, this truck's longevity may also be due to the fact that I am very gentle on my vehicles. If it were driven hard as many trucks are, it might be a different story.
Nonetheless, I have got my money back on this vehicle four or five times over and have never owned a more reliable, comfortable vehicle ever."
