"I'm the original owner. I have had to put a transmission in it when it was around 250000 miles. This truck has been the best SUV I have owned. In 2009 I put it into service do pilot car work. I am now looking for another one with low miles 2002-2004. My only complaint would be the paint. It started chipping away about 2010 and there is a crack in the back hatch. Otherwise great truck"
"Overall I really liked the Explorer. I drove it for 10 yrs, with no major problems. I know people that didn't care for Fords, but after seeing me and hearing me talk about my explorer, they went out and bought one for their son, and they both love it."

"This has been the best car I have ever owned. It had 15 miles on when we purchased it in April 2004 and it has never given me any trouble. We have had routine maintenance performed on it -- that's it. It is a poster car for Ford Motor Company."
Cons: "Door Ajar sensors all failed, had to be replaced"

"Owned this vehicle since 2007; always serviced on time; have only had to replace a few seals and those darned "door ajar" sensors. 243,000 miles and it doesn't burn a drop of oil between changes; runs like a top; 16 to 17 mpg in town, 20 to 21 mpg on the road. This Eddie Bauer model has been a joy to own. Plan to buy a newer model early next year."
"I have owned this car for 12 years. I have never encountered a single problem with the engine, mechanics, or overall functioning of the vehicle. It is a beautiful pearl white, has a tan leather interior, and a sunroof. I have never missed an oil change or tire rotation. The engine is in mint condition. The vehicle has never been wrecked. It has been a wonderful car!"
