I own this car - My approximate mileage is 249,000

Pros: "good MPGs, drives like a truck"

Cons: "Interior controls are spread out."

"This is one of the last of the "good" explorers. It is an SUV that drives like a pick up truck, not a luxury car. The one I own has 249000 miles, orginal engine and tranny, and is 19 years old. It still gets 450 miles to the tank and averages 20-22 mpg (by comparison, my 2006 Explorer gets 21.5-22 mpg average). (I grew up with Chevy pick ups, but will keep driving a Ford Explorer!)"

My 1993 explorer sport

Pros: "Torque, HP, Handles well, drives well, good MPG."

Cons: "top heavy."

My 1993 Ford Explorer Sport

"I bought a 1993 Ford explorer sport 1 year ago for 2000 $'s and it has been completely worth it. I just to be sure it was in good running condition I topped out the speedometer. It has 230000 miles on it, it runs strong it looks great and it feels great when sitting behind the wheel. The explorer is a great drive and was worth every penny."

it is the best vehicle i have ever owned

Pros: "fun to drive and very reliable"

Cons: "none"

"i use my vehicle everyday and everyday it starts like a champ . It is good on all liquids needed and always gets me from point to point b AWESOME!"
