"Everything I wanted in a truck, this has it all! Able to let the automatic back window down to talk to my dog, keep him calm when peeps were bugging him at a traffic light. The back seats lay down, so when we had to evacuate due to Hurricane's, he could lay down, but still see out. This truck is just a workhorse!!!! Mileage is 278,000!!! I pulled a 1970 20' Holiday Rambler Travel Trailer all over Florida. I've own a 10' cargo trailer for 10 yrs & it's pulled it, totally full of antiques, like a dream. Use it at work to pull too. It's been a great truck, with the luxury of a car. Mine is the XLT so it has a 6 cd changer, great everything. The sunroof is my favorite feature. Easy to maintain. It's going to be hard to move away from buying another one. A man ran into me, t boned me & now I'm waiting to see if insurance is going to total it. Even now, it's still driving, just fine!!! Even with all it's little dents & dings before this accident, I was totally happy to keep driving it."

My beautiful 2002 Ford Explorer Sport Trac.

"I love my 02 Sport Trac. Such a versatile truck. Drives excellent in all weather conditions and has never left me stranded anywhere. I bought mine used with about 76k miles in it and now it only has 110k on it. I wanted a pickup truck, but still wanted to be able to take my wife and 2 kids on family trips and such. This truck is perfect for that. The 4 doors makes it easy for everyone to get in and out and its not that bad of a ride overall. I have to admit, mine is a bit rusty underneath, but I've read all over the internet that people have been getting up to 400k + miles on these trucks so it sets my mind at ease. I don't think I'll be getting rid of mine anytime soon."

"I have owned this truck for 9 years and bought it off the lot in 2005. I haven't had any issues with it, and it is still running like a champ. Very sturdy little truck with great gas mileage and love that it is flex fuel. Everything on it still works perfect, power windows, AC, power locks."

"picked up this truck about a year ago. Its only been to the shop 1 time "mass air" replace.Daily driver for my wife. She and I both love it. My work truck was a 2013 Frontier 4 door,2633 miles. The sport trac has a much better ride and the seats are easier on my back."

Pros: "Good for a single car family."

Cons: "none for me"

"Love it! Wish Ford didn't discontinue this model. I get around 17mpg living out in the rural area of Pittsburgh. Hwy been as high as 26mpg worst around 15mpg. The ride is very good for a truck, wife has a Lacrosse and I like this ride better. Great in the snow, great for golfing, fits 4 large adults and 4 set of clubs with room to spare. Nice height, not too high or low to get in and out of. Only problem was I needed to rebuild the tranny around 100,000. Only needed two sensors but rebuilding the whole tranny was only a couple hundred more so had it all rebuilt. Looking to replace this with a newer model. Friend has a Honda Ridgeline and the Sport Trac rides nicer and seems to have more power."
