Spotter mirrors are made standard on all trims, while second-row heated seats can now be ordered on the XLT Premium. Ford's Front Park Assist is standard on Limited and King Ranch trims.
For 2011, the Ford Expedition adds HD Radio and SIRIUS Travel Link to the optional navigation package.
Although Ford's Expedition (and other large, truck-based SUVs) may be in market decline, there remains a need for vehicles with their capabilities. In the 2008 Expedition, Ford hopes to meet or exceed that need and, not incidentally, hold onto its share of the market.

"I own a 07 limited El it drives very smooth even on bumpy pavement .. Also it may only have 300hp but you always have power on demand..the transmission is very smooth under any circumstance and is quick to shift .Inside the Triton v-8 is barely herd unless floored . and there is no wind noise or road noise the vehicle has expectational brakes and handles very well for such a monster . Not only is that V-8 powerful it is very efficient as well we went on a road trip with the family and we averaged 22.7mpg on the highway .I had the cruise control set for 70mph . I was very impressed . Also in snowy climate the auto 4x4 system works seamlessly it kicks in right away as needed and it doesn't reduce gas millage like other 4x4 systems i leave it on auto all the time that way i don't have to worry about it . The only con about this SUV is the value deprecates allot .. but what do u expect it is an American car..but overall i think this is the best choice of SUV .. GO fully loaded . .4x4and and and...Get this vehicle if you tow allot cause when properly equipped it can tow over nine thousand pounds i put that number to the test and the v-8 didn't even struggle it didn't even feel like their was a trailer on the back ."

"The Expedition is superior to Yukon/Tahoe in many ways: 1- Interior Space (much roomier) 2- 3rd row seat is fullsize almost like the 3rd row of vans (we have the captains chairs in the second row that allow you to walk to the back without folding 2nd row seats even with 2 car seats in them) Also the 3rd row has powerfold which at first I thought was a huge waste for 1340 dollars but has made things a lot easier. They also fold flat something yukon cannot do, they must be removed from vehicle 3- Interior styling- GM has been selling the same garbage for how many years? 4- Aux inputs front and back 5- Steering is tight and responsive (GM Steering has always been to loose and does not let you feel the road 6- Price, Price ,Price We got XLT 4wd with $8000 in options out the door for $36000. This is our first Ford after 8 consecutive Chryslers and 1 GM. So cannot speak of the long term but so far so good."

overall rating 4 of 5rating detailsLikely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10
"Gas mileage not the best. Seats 8 very comfortably. Even with its lentgh it is very easy to park. Turning radius is very good. Enjoyed this vehicle very much.Even with the little bit of snow we have gotten over the last couple years Expedition had no problem going places others could not. Highway driving is very comfortable and city driving is also pretty easy. I definately recommend this vehicle for those who like to travel with 7 to 8 people at a time."
